Oh wow congrats! That is so exciting! Port Red is such a beautiful colour from Leuchtturm, I’m looking at picking up a set of Jottbook Doubles with one of them that colour :) It depends on your budget, I have a video on my fountain pens but I’d say the Kaweco Sport is a good option in the ~$30 CAD range, you could always start with a Perkeo at around $5CAD or a Platinum Preppy at about the same cost :) Those all take cartridges though, if you want to buy your own ink you’ll need a converter for them or to buy a pen that takes bottled ink!

Oh yes! That’s a Moleskine one, it was something I got from a corporate event and I haven’t seen it since! Amazon has generic ones that have a similar brown cover if that’s what you’re looking for :)

Nope they’re not! That’s why I need the double sided tape for them to be stuck in. I’ve seen the Ivy photos, it’s handy they’re stickers!

That’s great advice!! I did the same, and as my collection grew my style changed just like you said - makes it difficult to enjoy using all those things from the early days. You could even start with doing a no buy month and extend it if you’d like, it’s a great exercise and helps me connect to why I started the hobby in the first place 😊 what did you pick up for Black Friday? I was the exact same way before I got mine and I do not notice it at all! So much so that I had to think for a minute on what you meant by the knot cause it’s such a non issue! I 1000% would not use it if the knot was an issue, it’s also helpful if you have a couple of inserts and it sort of smooths it out if you know what I mean 😊

I really like it! I take it with me everywhere as part of my TN setup. I find it's really smooth and inky, the black gel ink is very black and it dries fast. The pen also feels solid and has a nice weight to it and I love that I have a few that are personalised :) One of the downsides is that it doesn't have a clip; with the body being hexagonal it doesn't roll but you're not able to clip it to anything. The finish is pretty sturdy but if it gets scratched hard enough it can take a dent out of the paint/finish but I haven't had that happen more than twice. I definitely recommend it, it comes in lots of cute colours and the ink cartridges are replaceable too! You can get the ink in blue or black I believe. :) I have the Drehgriffel Nr 1 in the Gel Ink version , it is a ball point!

@@notablyemily I haven't had any smudging because of the way I turn my paper. I try to write under the line like right-handed people, but it is too hard for me. If they had just turned my paper the correct way when I was 6, it would have made it a lot easier 😄
