2023, I've been hearing the old one often and I just recently learned that there's this new version :O It sounds good in my opinion, more depressive and understandable, though the original is always going to hold a special place in my heart because of how much I can relate TW - SH I know that it was not your original intention to make the physical self-harm theme so central (so to speak) in the original video, but honestly I am grateful that it happened, a lot of people fall into the same self-destructive patterns of thinking badly about oneself, being hyper-critical, going back to bad memories, psychological self-harm so to speak, it is very common, because is so easy to fall into those patters, we don't even realize until we are deep into it and it can happen to anyone regardless if they have severe cases of anxiety or depression or any other mental illness, that's whyis so relatable... but it's not the same case with physical sh I'm just talking from my own personal experience, so really, what do I know? but the first song is a good description and the speed and tempo make it perfect because, for me at least, mirrors my own despair singing it, your mind goes faster, you just want the relief and you know is not something you can share, people are way more critical because its less understandable. Even in my friends group is like: Torturing yourself with all your thoughts and memories till 3 am? "relatable, always, who doesn't?" burning yourself just because the void consumes you? "why? doesn't it hurt you? why would you do that? no! stop!" And don't get me wrong, I know it's bad, in no way I'm excusing self harm of any type, (me myself, Im in therapy to try to get better ><) I just say that there aren't many songs that I can relate to in that aspect because not many people that I know can understand the real addiction to physical pain (because pain does causes happy chemicals to appear) ... that's why I like the original version better >< sorry for the long comment (and trauma dumping ><, but from a stranger from internet, thank you for making these songs, it means a lot <3

2023, and the memories of my "living hell" from 2015 comes back to me. I'm only able to be glad, that I was able to overcome those problems from those times. Though for someone else ( a important person, all I can say randomly in a TH-cam comment ) it was also the last song they ever heard in their life. If thinking of his "final moments" while listening to this song's lyrics, his final moments must've been horrible. Makes me wonder, if finding this song is like "his final message" to me, or something. I absolutely fucking love this song. Touches my guts unlike songs normally would.

It has been 10 years huh, and i still love this song. It reflect nicely for people who are suffering with self harm. I used to make cuts on arm, shoulder, thigh back in high school. now finishing my degree and this song still hits me hard cuz now always fighting the urge to cut again. But this song comfort me cuz i know there are people who stuffering with this too.

It's 2022 and I still listen to this quite often. Found it when I was 14, and now I'm 20. Damn time flies when you suffer from crippling self hatred, depression, and dissociation.
