Let me see the results better. I do these a lot and want more glute growth but I think I go to light but when I go heavy it can put to much stress on my lumbar
Start light and focus on technique! Practice makes perfect

I would increase the ROM so that it is essentially the same ROM as a deadlift except you are stiff-legging it and controlling eccentric. The weight should almost touch the floor. Good point to mention the slight bend in the knee, people have torn hamstrings trying to do these with straight legs. Also dont be afraid to go pretty heavy, i notice a lot of people wuss out on RDLs. I am able to do 80% of my deadlift 1RM for 4-5 reps on RDL.
Id rather folks be super aware of their lat activation and keeping their center of gravity in the glutes/hamstrings. When beginners go too far down the leg, the low back can be compromised so better safe then sorry when Im not able to train them in person. I dont disagree with any of your comments for a more seasoned lifter 💪🏽🙏

If you have backpain doing a certain movement, you don't do that movement. This how it works for your back. So Do a RDL, have pain, don't do it anymore.
If done correctly, you should gain lower back and core strength! Focus on technique, move slow and keep your back straight and your hips neutral

...pull...into your armpits... I would think you would bend your elbows to achieve this but your arms stayed straight. 🤔
Bringing your biceps in towards your armpits with straight arms (not a bicep curl) will push your chest out and activate your lats!

A pair of 10 lbs/4 kilos would be a good start. Technique over weight at first and then work your way up! Let me know if you have specific questions 💪🏽🙏

How much weight do you suggest that I start with?
It’s technically 21 reps, so start light, maybe 5 lbs, 7.5 lbs. If its not a challenge to complete, you should go up!
