But since hearing Quast sing that in the. 10th Ann. Celebration, perhaps my favorite not just from Les Miz but of all Musical Theater. Powerful and emotional.
I love how he goes from almost reciting the lyrics as a poem to singing. It shows that his emotions get stronger and harder to suppress as the song goes on.
This masters performance of Stars is the single greatest rendition of any song I have seen in theatre and I have seen hundreds. An utterly astounding delivrry

Quast BECOMES Javert. He is compelling and utterly brilliant. IMHO, only Norm Lewis comes close to raising equalling Quast's inedible interpretation.
