The Beachboys played one concert a month to pay a part of Landy's fees. I read it was $50,000. What we saw was the second go around with Landy. This time, he blocked his family. The investigation of Landy could have been thwarted much earlier if the lawyers knew what they were doing. Perhaps a transference if care would have been the right way to go. He was a different person after the Smile Album but still wrote great music.

Also Dr. Landy was very cruel to Brian. He was misdiagnosed as Schizophrenic but he has Schizoid Affective Disorder and he's Bipolar as well. He lost his license, he also got in touch with Brian when he wasn't allowed to and went to court for a hollering. He also allegedly discovered Jazz Guitarist George Benson. Still you see that Brian will never be the same. I saw the Documentary on PBS where a Rolling Stone Writer spent time with Brian. It was so heartbreaking.

Unbelievable. But Brian never should have been put in a position where this creep could do this, there’s a lot more blame to go around than just Landy, and some of that is on Brian himself. It’s a fucked up situation all around.

Eugene living in Brians mansion doing revonvations while Brian is in a rundown house, and Eugene makes 2 albums? Whatever he gave Brian and all the conditioning had a horrible outcome on Brians psyche. yeah, Eugene may have helped Brian get out of bed and lose weight, kick drugs....in the first couple months, but then to turn it into a 9 year mind control experiment from which he profited so much, dude should have done prison times. Brian is still showing signs of the abuse of Landy, its a damn shame Landy didnt die behind bars where he belonged.

Landy was a guy who became seduced with the rock lifestyle.
