Hi where can I get those bags
where can I get those bags?
What’s the name of the bag where the gas tank would be on motorcycles? Super cool looking. I just ordered mine an I love this build. If anyone knows please reply.
this bike is so beautiful, i just got mine and im starting to customize it, i also just got the second battery but cant figure out how to attach it near the bottom like you
@@lil6io732 Hi, thank you. You will need to use the battery bracket and place it a couple of inches above the bit that sticks out on the pedal crankshaft. Mark where the screw holes need to go. You will need a Riv-Nut kit, a size 5 and possibly a size 6 metal drill bit to install the Riv-Nuts. Start with a pilot hole to get them started in the down tubes, then make them larger to fit the Riv-Nuts. Once in place, you can bolt the battery bracket and battery securely to the bike. I added a couple of straps as an extra precaution, but the Riv-Nuts did the job. You probably already know this, but be sure to use a battery blender when you connect the second battery. This way, you don’t have to worry about the relative voltages of the batteries. Without it, you have to try to keep the voltages even so that one battery doesn’t discharge into the other, which can be very dangerous. Lastly, please get the best lock you can for it because… unfortunately my bike got stolen.
Is the "tank" bag the pannier bag for the rear rack on amazon? How is it attached to the front? How secure is it? Also where did you get the covers for the batteries?
@@JaimeAshley-ii7ne Hi Jamie, the Rockbro’s tank bag is on Amazon, however the rack was modified from motorcycle rack off eBay. The side panels were fabricated with a aluminium net frame covered in vinyl and hardened inside with epoxy resin. Hope this helps.
i have this same bike, please link all the bags / accessories that fill the middle and make it look fuller, i love it, the rack too
i got an ebike kinda like this, but yours looks amazing, i got a lot of work to do ! what all is done to ti
correction, i have the same style ebike, and i just painted it to fully black it out, can you send me links to purchase what you’ve done to it?? thanks
@@lil6io732 it’s a great bike. Yes it’s a labour of love and will take a bit of time. I’ll see if I can find the post where I listed the parts. The side panel though I fabricated with aluminium netting, epoxy and covered in vinyl.
When I noted ‘it’s a great bike’ I meant the Idpoo Z8 bike and its frame.

That metal frame In the back where did u get that ?
what kinda mileage u gittin these days fam?
Hey man, I just saw your videos about the Idpoo Z8 and was absolutely blown away on how you were able to transform an already amazing looking e-bike into a kick-ass cafe racer motorcycle lookalike. I am so sorry to hear that it was stolen, breaks my heart to see such a passionate project taken away by some rando. However, I was actually eyeing the same model e-bike, although the brand is now called "Riding-times" or something like that. So, I may just use your videos as gospel and try to replicate that same look for mine, since I dig that cafe racer esque look as well! But that's just a maybe, I'm not entirely sure how exactly you managed to pull yours off, nor do I feel confident enough to try at the moment. Still, it was just astonishing to see how you made such a cool looking e-bike. You inspire me!
How much price in uk Southampton ?
Where i can by this seat?
Looks badass! How did you make those panels to hide the inside of the bike? Were they built in?
Does anyone know how to unlock the speed limiter mines only goes 15mph and i cant change the speed limit from 25kmh in the p3 setting anything helps
Where can i get a seat like that
I got it for £20 off eBay. Note you will need to make some minor mods to the frame to make it lie flat. Hack saw about 1/2 way into the frame just be grab hand up turn. Then use a mallet and piece of wood to knock it flat. Then secure new seat with industrial strength velco and bolts. Hope this helps. Unfortunately I had this bike stolen a couple of months ago. Do please get an angle grinder proof lock for your bike🙂
Where can I get mods from
Be hard to not mistake for a motorcycle at a distance nice bike man
Is it possible to list the components list?
Love your build. Are you gonna make that video on how you did the side panels? I want to make some so bad
I would but… the bike got stolen a couple months ago so I don’t have access to the frame to make the wire mesh side panel templates😢
@@RayHenry100 Oh nooooo bro i’m so sorry.. i hate people. I live in ATL in the states and i’m scared of mine getting stolen all the time as well. Never leave it for for than like 2-3 minutes if that

Can you share us the front and under the seat bag link or brands please?
Bellissima mi potresti Dire come gai fatto ha fare tutte queste modifiche?
It looks like one of those childrens bicycles meant to look like a motorcycle.
Hey, few questions, What seat is that, aand did tha rockbox have to be modified to fit as yours did
Sorry for the very slow reply. The bike got stolen in Feb. Re the bag. Yes you have to be brave and cut it along the bottom for the bar and create a flap for the top of the battery. Then needle and thread to close it tight round the top tube. The bags Velcro straps will do the rest to keep it firmly on the bike. The seat was about £25 from eBay. Remove the old seat the cut into the frame just before it up-turns on the grab hand at the back. The used a mallet and piece of wood to knock it flat. You can the use industrial strength Velcro to hold it down or this plus bolts. Hope this helps. Do please get an angle grinder proof lock for your bike.
Where can I buy these accessories in the states?
Hey Ray anything new with the ride
Hi Miguel, I put some Michelin 110-70-R16’s on it and then a few weeks later the bike was stolen😢 I’m eying up a Walfisk Black Warrior at the moment as it’s got all the things I’d done with the Z8 e.g tank bag, extended range battery, blacked out wheel, Cafe racer look etc. I just need to steady my nerves on the Security front as the Z8 has a lock, alarm and tracker and still got stolen. How have you been keeping and how is you bike developing?
Sorry to hear this, I've been checking for updates. Any luck with local authority or do they not care ? I fear it would be a lost cause if the same were to happen to me..@@RayHenry100
@@EllisJonesDeath Thank you for the comments. Unfortunately this is the world we live in where the local authorities are little help when this happens.I’d like to get/build another but am blocked by the thought of it happening again.
Hi Miguel, unfortunately not as… the bike got stolen a couple months ago, and I have had no luck/help from the local authorities getting it back despite in the first couple of weeks informing them of its trackers location. Not sure at the moment if I’ll build another.
@@RayHenry100 dang it, don't let it discourage you though mate. Even if you had some expensive motorbike, they would still find a way to steal it. Did you say a while back there was a Z8 group ? Now mine has lived longer than 4 months I'm looking to upgrade the tyres and front forks and rear shocks soon. Any links or tips would be greatly appreciated as I'm a complete novice with sizes/dimensions etc so will need all the help I can get. Is there a link or video to the technique you used for the panels ? I've never seen that method before so would love to make some for mine. Regarding keeping your head up, hopefully you do get riding again, even if you get a regular bike...the summer will be lovely for some canal rides
WoW - That new seat transforms the look of the bike - Love It!👌👌
Thank you it was a great ride… while it lasted as I was so looking forward to getting out in the summer months to meet up with likeminded folk in the ebike community🙂 I have to try and put a brave face on it.
Hello ray where did you get the back rack. I love this one very nice
Hi Giovanni, the bike rack you can get off eBay but I couldn’t use its brackets as they were too chunky. I ended up getting a couple of metal poles, a rivnut kit and use a vice to hold the poles to drill M6 sized holes through. Then flipped the bike over did the same on the frame. It was a bit fiddly but I enjoyed the look and function as it was very strong. Hope this helps. Just go slow and steady and you’ll be fine👍
@@RayHenry100what’s the link
What's your top speed in your z8? I'm getting 34 mphs max. Thank you for sharing I just purchased the frame bag 😊❤
Hi Giovanni, if you have the same bike fitting ( cutting into ) the brand new frame bag does require you keep your nerve but it’s worth it. Ask you can use a needle and strong thread to pull the edges back in around the frame to make it more watertight. Do let me know how you get on👍I’ve not posted any updates as I had my bike stolen🥲 So I’m planning a new project either with another Idpoo z8 or another model. So make sure you have the strongest lock you can afford please 🙏🏽
The top speed was about 25mph with freshly charge batteries and then 23-24mph. Mine had a bit of weight as I’d fitted an extra 20AH battery on the front down tube and motor cycle Michelin 110 70 16 tires, plus the wheel rims all added to the weight. Also I’m app 90kg 😀lighter is definitely faster👍
Hi ray what's happening haven't had a reply and you haven't made no more videos are upgradeing the bike
Hi Colin, Hope you have been keeping well. Sorry for not getting back. I was taking test from the ebike then the uninsured bike got stolen despite the lock, alarm and AirTags I put on it😭I’m not going to let the ‘unts get me down so I’ve decided to get another one😀. On a positive note as it will be a rebuild it shouldn’t take that long to put it together and I can literally do a set of videos from start to finish. This time I’m going for the insurance that will if it happens again they track the ‘unts down and retrieve it or replace with a new one😂
@@RayHenry100 hi sorry to hear that we're was the bike are you getting same model. I bet we're devistated God all the work you put in let's hope the bike your getting is OK
@@colinwhite144 Hi Colin, thank you. It has been a shock. Yes it’s with the Police but not expecting much support in getting it back. Moving on so am generating my list for a new bike but with Track and Retrieve insurance🙂

You these guys go around with a grinder even in shopping centre and pinch bikes people waking buy don't even say what you doing is that your bike. I hope you get new bike soon when you do what you have to do your mind will be on new bike
@@RayHenry100 Hi Ray the last time I left a message was about a lock for handle bars to use battery lock it's no good. But I bought two latch locks 4in long the flap fits over a lock that turn I was thinking of put in on the bike. The head set is that spring steel hsvr6yiu ever drilled it because this lock would fit on front of handle bars then I down tube. If I could drill two holes then tap a thread it would be ideal to lock handle bars I bought them for gas and eltric box out side front door I haven't tried to drill spring steel
What is the small bag behind the seat?
Hi Alex, it’s a motorcycle tool bag off eBay circa £10. I used mine for my wet weather poncho. Sorry for the delay in getting back as … I had the bike stolen 😢so I’m wrapping my head around a new project🙂 albeit with much stronger security👍
How did you get the turning front signals?
Hi Ray what happened I sent message that I had a idea for a lock using battery lock it was a failure it's the headset metal I think it's spring metal that's hardto drill. So after the that message you didn't reply and I've put a few videos out normally you comment. Are you OK and bike have you had problems or are you chancing bike style again upgrade to bigger motor. Hope things are OK
Hi Ray I've been sending messages haven't had reply. I'm selling my bike on Facebook it's more for a younger person I'm keeping my mountain bike 2000wat I can pedal that one and be better of on the road with police hope your OK and bike is running fine
Nice looking bike you did a nice job with all your mods. Thanks for the sub.
Ray the cable coming from motor cut a v shape on frame that give alot of room for cable. Also the washer has a flat side and a cured side on rimm pit that towards cable it gives more space. The cable shoud be no were near your disc screws make sure to put lock tight on screws. I can get my little finger between cable and screws. If that cable cuts I've done that job before the wires are easy it's the magnet it can cut fingers off. Why have you got that meter for performance of a 750wat motor yes if it was a 15 or 2000wat or 3000wat it. I always check screws on disc that's why the wire has a spring around wire it's for protection
Hi Ray I've sent a few messages normally you answer are you having problems with your bike. You were saying about changing your conntroller. You normally keep in touch to see what's going on. I'm curious ate changing your bike motor. Hope bike is OK
Hi Ray sent message yesterday is everything OK it's strange for you not to answer hope your bike is OK
Hi Ray are you still on planet earth haven't herd from yuo I bet you putting a 1000wat kit on bike. I took indercaters of other bike and for some reason I'm having problems settling it up can't understand why I'm having this problem. I've bought better relays coming today I'm using hindi diogram same as last few hrs back so I'll give it a go later and that's it no more w9on the bike it's a case of waiting for spring weather I'm going crazy if weather gets better I'll be out every day. If you are doing mote jobs on bike hope no problems
Very nice!!! But a bit of advice get rid of those stock tires , and get some Veemotor Huntsmans . I had those tires on my bike a sharp piece of wood stabbed right through the back tire and flattened it instantly. I got the Huntsmans on front and back now, their like Tank tires, and I filled it with armordilloz it will probably never get a flat again!!!
Hi Ray. Have you considered adding a turning signal directly connected to the controller? If you do, please make a video!!
Bike looks mint mate! Where did you get the wheel panels? Love the black and looking to take inspiration for my own haha.
Thank you for the feedback 😀 I’ve enjoyed ‘evolving’ this bike as I felt the Z8’s frame design has so much potential. You’re most welcome to take ideas from it. The wheel panels were around £80 inc delivery compared with Super 73’s wheel rim prices. I’ll send you the link.

Hi mate. I wonder if you can help me about this. When on pedal assist 1, every time I break on this bike the throttle stops also & I have to bounce the bike down to get it working again I think the issue I’m having is the pedal assist system but the problem is when I turn the pedal assist completely off the throttle doesn’t work at all. It becomes a regular bicycle. No longer an E bike
Hi , Not sure about the issues re pedal assist 1. I routinely use pedal assist 2 which is throttle either immediately or when you start to pedal. Pedal assist 0 is operating correctly ie no throttle/ motor engagement. I’ll try out Pedal Assist 1 next time I’m out and let you if I have the same issues.
Link to the tire caps?
Ray I ment to say I've been thinking of a lock for bike there is a lock on amazon that fits on brake lever and handle bar grip. Can't see that eoud be a deterent. So I'm thinking of using a battery lock and I need some macarno stripe about 1/4 ins it fits with bolt drilled in suspension head the top plate bolt either side in the bend. It's got to be proud of about two ins then drill hole in frame just before the bend in tube ice drawed it on paper it looks like it coud work. The way I've duscrbed it it might be a bit to take in if it works ill make a vudio so if it works it stops handle bars from moving and keeps Nike strait
Hi Colin, on the security front I’ve got the D- lock, an Amazon alarm with remote, an electrical isolator, and a Apple tag type device to show its location. I installed these in that order over time. Look forward to seeing the video showing the design you’ve implemented.
Hi Ray I couldn't make that message out about that video I made of the speed on display quite impressive wasn't it cause it won't do that there are weight factors to slow speed down my weight I'm 11stone 8 ounces and weight of panels with glue it's amazing the weight hit glue dose when it cools down I can't tyry bike properly due this bloody weather
It was very impressive the best part of 50mph unloaded . Also interesting that it peaked at 115w when unloaded it’s going to I suspect be hitting 1500 plus when loaded. My bikes carrying 13 stone so that does not help with its speed, torque and acceleration with me on on it🤣
@@RayHenry100 hinrsy in recommend to get 1500wat kit doesn't matter about your weight if you upgrade conntroller 40amp 52v 20amp battery that's if you can afford it. I don't no if your working you could do it in stages. Have you had a 1000wat or 1500wat or 2000wat these hub motord gave a lot of torgch your weight mite slow you down slight it's a mazing ride on springs with weight it makes rear suspension work much smoother. You will find a hell of dif with either 1000wat or 1500wat tears a lad got 1000wat mot kit his top speed was 60km in mph that's 37mph not bad for 1000wat wheel kit he must have upgrade conntroller which you can and it will work out much cheaper
@@RayHenry100 Hi Ray went to chemist to get my medication. So I thought to take bike buy it was freezing for all I was well covered up so I set away on number 2 the bike is like a magic carpet onist the power is unberleavble better than my 2000wat so gets to long road and flick through to 4 I looked display I was doing 35mph the watts were tweeting 1895 watt so I left on the 4 coming back home it was on 4 came to incline it's a slight bank I was doing 32mph then dropped to 30mph so I put it on 5 it just set of again to 37mph on full throttle came to top so I left on full throttle 43mph I forgot to look at the watts it was putting out. I definitely recommend get a 1500wat kit but change conntroller to 40amp not 45amp I've tried 45amp it was more or Lees the same so I've used 40amp for the motor I don't want to roast it
High ray did you see my back mudguard what do you think plus I got 2.1k views for a short video showing my display can't understand how I got so many. My partner had to use throttle as held phone for camera. Unless they thought it was funny me saying about using the throttle I only had 30 seconds I shoud have pressed the 60seconds it was a quick video I've never had them views in my life I got a message of utube. I've git comments on but had none it's weird bikes nearly finished just indrecators
Hi Colin, that rear mudguard is Pukka!!👍 I love the ‘presence’ it provides the rear of the bike. The Carbon Fibre finish also a great look !! I had seen one before on Amazon/EBay and was considering putting one on mine but it’s looks so much like a motorbike already with the cafe racer seat. Great news with the 2.1k views on the Short. I’ll definitely have a view. Colin I left you my Mobile for us to WhatsApp video link on a previous @message. On my bike I used two one for one side I coud hce used one for four lights but sometimes they can get warm or hot ill have a look in sure I've got two spades on one relay or possible three.
