My Channel is basically a reflection of my life and the many passions that I enjoy! I am a keen photographer, videographer, environmental activist, conservationist, angler, musician, hi-fi enthusiast, granddad etc etc!
I am retired so I try to be as active as possible by living life to the full and recording as many of the wonderful experiences I see for others to enjoy.
There are films here about my passion for Nature and Fly Fishing. Also places I've visited, especially Pembrokeshire - which by the way is my favourite place on earth! And there are even film reviews about my Car too! So quite a mix but I hope there is something here for you?

I listened to the Kudos titan 505 and 606 today at the 2024 Stereonet hifi show in Melbourne and these speakers were honestly my favourite of the day by far. I would happily own them over the high end Wilson, Marten, Kaya and Sonus Faber speakers that were playing on the same day. The Kudos just payed in another league even when powered to a 55 watt Copland tube integrated amp. Exceptional speakers and I can’t imagine how the 808s must sound but after today they are now at the top of my list.
Just ordered one which is almost identical as yours. I currently have a 2021 V60 T6 and was so relieved when Volvo brought the V60 back. Not a SUV fan, having owned a few I am more than happy to be back in an estate car.

Funny how much of Holland is reclaimed from the sea. I lived for some years in the Lincolnshire fens and it has a high proportion of families who migrated from Holland many, many years ago. Much of the land is below sea level but embankments have been built to keep the fens safe. Perhaps the local authorities should make a visit to the fens to see how Fairbourne can be protected. There are many areas in Britain where land can be protected or reclaimed. Sadly we have to deal with braindead environmentalists who always preach doom and gloom. They also never mention the many towns and villages in Britain which were once ports and are now several miles inland. Oh, sorry! That goes against the disaster and anthropogenic climate change B/S.
Another Climate Change Denier! You guys are so so tedious!

The uk is being destroyed for profit and idealogy. I am absolutely with you regarding this disgraceful destruction of our rivers, lakes and general environment. My Trade too!
Civil engineer here. This problem (I mean generally, not this specific site) is not going to be solved by stopping shareholders dividends (though I would support that anyway because of social justice). This problem will not be solved by fining water company executives. It's not just a case of throwing money at it, though that is part of it. Think of a number, then add ,000 lots of times to the end of it. This problem will be solved by very very very substantial construction works, that nobody will find acceptable. Firstly, you need to completely separate all of the rainwater from the foul sewage at source. This is done in modern housing estates, but it means that you are going to have to dig up every (and I mean every) road in the older urban areas and every village, and put in whole new pipe systems: (i) for the foul sewage (ii) for rainwater off roofs (iii) for road gullies - because rainwater off roads is full of grits, oils, tyre rubber, heavy metals, etc,, so it needs treatment, but is not the responsibility of the water companies. Highway Authorities need to treat it before it goes into rivers - I've motorway drainage outfalls that look as bad as sewers. Its OK if it's just a few gullies on a back lane, but once you get up to an A road it should be treated. You may see treatment ponds next to junctions on new roads, but really we should go back and do it for all A roads and motorways, and for urban areas. So we need to dig up all our urban roads and put THREE pipe systems in, IF we can find the space between the gas and electric mains. Coming back to roof runoff, rain comes much more quickly off a steep roof than off a wooded hillside, so it needs to be stored and released slowly into rivers to avoid causing flooding. Really it should be something the size of ten bathtubs for every house. (Wales is leading the way in the UK in forcing house builders to do this on new homes, but the legislation is a mess.) And finally, the lovely sewage. Now we've got rid of the rainwater, we've got pure sewage coming down to the treatment works. Water is not like gas - water flows downhill, and water is heavy - 1 tonne per cubic metre. So at the treatment works they try to make it flow through all of the treatment processes by gravity, but sometimes - usually in fact - if the ground is flat there simply isn't enough 'fall', and it has to be pumped. So if you add a new treatment stage, you usually have to add a pump as well. So for example, I once worked on a place where they were adding a filter tin order to VERY SLIGHTLY reduce phosphorus in the brook. That project cost £30,000,000, for a slight improvement, and it means that they will be pumping 2 tonnes of water per second up a 14m high tower. For ever. Which costs energy and carbon. And I haven't even included the running cost for the filter itself, which is a mechanical process with lots of energy costs. High technology is expensive. Multiply that £30million plus eternal running costs for a small improvement in one small brook by the vast numbers of individual problems around the country, many very large, and we start to realise that just shouting Booooo at the chief executive really is a waste of time. If we want to solve this we will have to accept: 1) Unbelievably MASSIVE cost 2) MASSIVE disruption. And I don't think the British public are ready for that yet. Be careful what you wish for. I'm not saying don't wish for clean rivers, just understand that it is not easy, quick or cheap.
Well bloody said
😢I'm not shocked, it's been happening for ages I'm glad it's getting the attention it needs to change this!!
Hi Andrew, Good video highlighting this problem and it's a disgrace what's happening all over the country. All the technology that we have nowadays should have ensured pristine water conditions. Unfortunately though, giving the bill money that they receive to shareholders, instead of investing it in future projects, has resulted in this decline. They also have the nerve to suggest our water bills will be going up in the not too distant future...☹️😡
Very true Eddie!
Blessed be Thomas Telford, the bridge would of needed rebuilding years ago if it wasn't for his magnificent over engineering.

I live in a coastal town and the seawall measurement stick hasn't shown any increase in the last 20 years. Every summer it is showing 1-2" either way of the high tide mark. Sure we get huge waves and stormy weather but this crap of climate change is only to drain the public of their money. For solid proof of that, no government in the world is prepared to cure homelessness or poverty but instead they insist that you pay more taxes so that they can change the temperature of the earth! go figure! Oh and stop breaking the law by using your phone wile driving!
No , it can be saved .

I love how conspiracy theorists pride themselves on “being informed” yet none of you check into the answers that match your narrative. Confirmation bias anyone?
