These cars shine with a bigger turbo and added fuel, then u can get a built motor and it can handle up to 600+. And everything is reasonably cheap compared to other platforms. Once I pay my car off I can literally just order a stage 1 motor and bigger turbo slap it in with aux fuel.. bam u have a death trap that’ll smoke literally almost anything for like 8k less than 4-5k if u build ur own.

"Fast" is relative.. is it fast for a 4 cylinder? I don't even know if I would put it in a class of "fast" I own a 15' ST with the catless DP, full 3" mbrp, cold air, intake manifold spacer, throttle body spacer, access port with 91 tune. It doesn't hold a candle to the several Mustangs I've owned in the past. The only place this car has impressed me, is in the cornering, and the gas mileage. I refer to it as, "spicy" for a 4 cylinder. But I don't call it fast. I've owned fast, and this just isn't it.

Looks like what I did as well and I'm in the same boat. Never dyno'd it but assuming around 300. Looks great.

My problem with the Focus and Fiesta ST has always been the ecoboost. Head gaskets are hanging on for dear life in them. Ive seen sooo many with coolant intrusions. I want to say Fords "fix" during the massive recall was a new sensor. If memory serves there was a class action suite in the EU because of this motors design flaws. Sucks. I have really liked the Festiva ST. Was really considering one when Honda ditched the plan for a FIT Si. Then I read about the first recall and we started seeing blocks in the yard hand over fist. Family has an auto salvage business so I get to see what cars look like at the end of their lives. I have driven both the Focus and Fiesta ST. Have to say, the Fiesta was more fun. Planted little car even if it had rev hang for days.

They closed it after 72 because the epa made them for emissions but they still kept kept it so they wouldn’t have to change the design and you could hot rod it yourself

HBs rule. Everybody thinks you need to spend 1000$ to get a good guitar. My 300$ HB is just as good as any other guitar I’ve ever played.

My 2011 3.8 Gen Coupe Grand Touring has 180k miles on it and still going strong I hope to get a few more years on it, I love my car haha

I have a '13 ST3...was considering selling and getting something a bit larger...but then you get in, drive it hard and it just puts a smile on your face. You're pretty spot on with the pricing too, a solid ST3 should go for $15K give or take, and the 1's and 2's for less. Don't buy an uber-modded one. Find an owner that gave a shit about it when they owned it, have paperwork for maintenance and mods, etc. Steer clear of R titles or salvages...they significantly lower the cost. Any owner who debates you on that...do yourself a favor and just walk away.

So I played in a band for over 10 years and I don't recall my tuner ever making me play better. It may have made me sound better but it never made me play better. Come on dude. Seriously?? And I had three tuners throughout that 10 year period only because the first two weren't able to go from chord to chord. My third and final tuner, I could plug in my tuner and then my effects and never miss a beat with tuning up and playing.

I love my 2014 3.8 genesis coupe - GT . The car is starting to become a hidden gem in my city . Looks great , fast and easy to fix if your into diy.

I use a bit of Big Bends Nut Sauce. I've found it actually works a bit better than dry graphite, at least when used on a genuine bone nut. It comes in a syringe with a two different sizes of soft nylon-bristle plastic swabs that fit right into the nut slots, so you can squeeze out a tiny bit of lube, apply it exactly where it needs to be, and it stays there. I also use it on the string trees and I'll put an extremely fine film of it on the saddles, right under the strings so it doesn't end up on your hand when palm muting.

I made the same mistake as you, except I bought my ST1 brand new. And it was only $3k to upgrade to the ST2. It's a lot better now though. I installed a Phoenix Automotive Tesla style head unit into it. You should get one yourself. I love my ST and plan on riding it until the wheels come off.

Yeah, I just bought one yesterday and I paid just under $16k for it. It’s a 2014 with only 58k rounds on it. It’s in real nice shape. I would take to a car show today! That’s how nice it is I mean it has a few paint blemishes but still a solid 15 footer! I’m just gonna daily drive it! I think I did pretty good cuz the ones I was looking at in that shape and miles they were all 18 to $20! I’ll be posting some vids on it!!

Cool! I bought this guitar a few years ago and had a lot of mods done to it as well. First I swapped out the bridge with a Gotoh telecaster bridge, changed the electronics to have two push pull 500k CTS pots, new switch, Seymour Duncan Black Winter bridge, Seymour Duncan Distortion neck, graphtech nut, custom matte black 1 ply pickguard and hipshot tuners. Played like a monster in drop Db. Two weeks ago I took it in to change out the pickups to white blackened Seymour Duncan Black Winters and swapped over to a Fender Telecaster Baritone neck conversion. Pretty sick guitar but I'll need to dial in the tone to give it a little bit more brightness.

Also, the guitarist for my band is a huge jinjer fan, he was born in the same town as where they started. For Christmas i made him some jinjer patches

I lost mine a year and a half ago to a bad driver. Had a girl pull out while I was going 50 (speed limit) and couldn't avoid her. She never looked left and I had 1 second to react. I had a black 13' ST3 that only had 55k on it. Bought it in 2014. This friday, I am finally completing a purchase on a 13' ST3 with 21k miles! Im so excited to have an ST again. You literally cannot find the bang for the buck fun on any other car imo.

I think the Benz would have much higher maintenance costs. Also, the focus rs and st especially are fairly reliable. Unfortunately, my RS is not, and it is currently having its headgasket replaced. If you have the opportunity to throw the RS into a corner and play with its various drive modes, you will understand why it costs $30k. It ain't no subaru, it is a machine.
