besides re stacks being absent for some reason, I think this is the perfect bon iver set list. I would love to see him tour just these songs again. I dont hate 22 a million or I,I but if he ever makes another album, I would love for it to be more like self titled
I was at the concert during my road trip from NYC down to New Orleans. Still a top 3 concert of all time for me. Never had such acoustics like that venue again.

Is that Reggie Pace back there on trombone?!? edit: okay yes it is. Somehow I missed all the local coverage here in RVA! That’s awesome. I’m always late to the party 😅
I was 16 at this show and remember the tears streaming down my face when we sang the “what might’ve been lost” bit during Wolves. One of the best moments of my life, the spectacle of it all. Gorgeous show, still, ten years later.
Was fortunate to see this tour at Red Rocks in 2012 and it was absolutely stunning. Been looking for a HQ performance of this year ever since, what an absolutely incredible show: the music, ambiance, etc. I'll never forget that night on the rocks and this is a perfect reminder of the power of this iteration of his band and the music he was creating at the time. Thank you for posting!
This must be around 2011/2012.. the set list is from their releases back then. I was lucky enough to see them on 11/11/11 in Bristol, UK and it remains the most amazing gig I've ever, ever been to.
Thanks for posting this, every fan should see it and hear it. I was there, October 2012. I was 17. The looks I got make me think I must have looked very young. But it was the best concert ever. Symphonic arrangements of For Emma were dazzling. But the self-titled album songs were even more symphonic than the studio versions. A bold choice, well executed. My friend got the audio from the Bowery and I put it on my iTunes. This version of Michicant was on repeat throughout the winter. :) I am grateful I got to see Bon Iver live before the next albums came out. Very grateful.
First 2 albums of BI hug me like a soft and warm blanket while the 3rd album abruptly snatches the blanket and told me that the sun's showing up and the 4th is like telling me to go to the park and bask under the sun
I’d say 22 A Million abruptly snatches the blanket, rips it in half, sets fire to one half and swallows the other whole before reassuring you that you don’t need the blanket anymore. It tells you that the sun isn’t out yet but it will be soon. It then grabs you by the shoulders and forcefully turns you to face the sunrise, then disappears, leaving you staring into the horizon.
One of the gayngs singers?
MORNING FRIENDS HOPE ALL ARE WELL~THAT WAS AMAZING SET~DON'T FORGET TO ENJOY THE RIDE~PEACE
Still watching in 2024
Yep! We still are
Couldn't afford their Austin show 2 years ago. Knowing now it might not happen again I would have sold a kidney.
This version of Beth/Rest is what Jack and Kyle played to the demon
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 😊👏👏👏🤗✌️

This might have my favorite articulation of Beth/Rest. Hauntingly beautiful

This is the one I always come back to
How do they achieve that brass razz in Minnesota, WI at 8:00 Is it just a razzy tone on a baritone sax or are there effects?
!

I would've been in tears right along side you. What an experience.
different show, but I'd seen him encore with Wolves as well, and that same part made me tear up (in joy) too. The power of music
Fucking hell, superb performance.

It would be a dream to see them in person like this
Colin Stetson on the sax right?
Art
Unfortunately Justin has lost touch in music over the last 7 years..This era was truly very special.

Holoscene is just a magnificent song.
Imagine being one of these musicians playing with this light show. Extreme focus.
That version of Holocene is just...fuck.
Amazing to know that this wonderful band exists 😍
Pure magic, love, sadness, beauty, inspiration. ❤️
Michicant sounds so beautiful in this show. :)
People don't talk enough about this version of Minnesota, WI
He (and they) sing so well live. It is amazing
Seeing them next Friday 😁
I was there, seeing this again is it almost as epic - thank you for posting this. Their music is on another level. Can't wait to see them again.
The intro to Perth always feels like an apology to my mum x

@@deviateedits that is quite possibly the best way you could've phrased that lmao
♡♡♡♡♡
Is that Jay Bolerose in one of the drum seats?
Ahh, the drummers! I'd love to know who they are.
Sean Carey (scarey) and Matt McCaughan
@@MRichK thank you kindly
It sounds to me as improved Peter Gabriel music.
Turn the vocals up man
I agree
....my god, you are god.....
an experience
I toured the light... So many foreign roads. For Emma, forever ago ❤️
