Spider Moulting to Stripper music
มุมมอง 1972 หลายเดือนก่อน
Spiders, like many arthropods, need to moult when they grow. We were lucky enough to catch this Huntsman Spider (about 100mm overall) in the process in our kitchen. The focus isn't great, but time was of the essence!

This video documents our (Helga, Bill, and June) tour around the site; you will hear the roadworks machines in the backgrou...

"A film of Bob Hobman's attempt to sail across the Indian Ocean in a primitive native craft. He aimed to show that the people of Madagascar, who originally came from Indonesia 2,500 years ago, sailed, not in a series of stages, but directly across the Indian Ocean, in one of the great epic voyages of history. His voyage took 65 days." Narrators: Rupert Frazer & Robert (Bob) Hobman; expedition l...

A spoof of Kodak Camera Club meetings held at the Coburg factory in the early 70's. The sound sync system (double system) was developed by the film-makers Bill Barry and Mike Scully. It was not perfect in this version, but we got better!
I enjoy this video and experience just as if I was part of that crew faith is the key to
Life
Strong chinless woman.
You can actually dry wood by turning it into a feather stick and letting the wind blow at it. I've tried many times using drift wood fresh from the ocean.
The OH&S...lol as an 80's kid
HOW ABOUT A TOOTHBRUSH 😬
What a woman! She should be the face of women equality
I wish documentaries where still made like this. Today it's stuffed with over-dramatization (if not fake drama), constant music and commentators apparantly paid by the word, cause they won't shut up. The thing is, if the subject is interresting, if the people involved in the production are actually talented, you don't need all that BS. 99% of modern productions suck.
"Sally the reluctant cook" - That's the 80s for you.
The captains descriptions on things was pretty insane. Most people say stuff like ohh we had a bad night it was scary but he says little details even with the explaining the buckets and emptying the water but “as you throw it over board more comes crashing in over your shoulder” his descriptions is amazing. Makes me feel like I’m there. I can only imagine how it would be if he wrote a book. But with that being said he could have easily led all these people to death bc of his “theory or idea”. I would think the people who did this a long time ago tho built the boats better since they did it for years and traditions passed on too each other. Also I think they would come a little more prepared and maybe on a few boats like one for food one for material for repairs and I’m sure they fished and ate a lot of fish.
Get some black rice and coconut into ya
5:45 they should have canceled the trip when that happened, really bad luck
Melewati laut selatan ya?
While i aploud their effort, knowledge and hardship, i believe that the problems they faced prove that it is too dangerous to boat across the indian ocean in this time period, and its much safer to land jump to resupply and repair. I would like to know how much time they saved maneuvering in this fashion; i believe that if the time had is sufficient enough it may have been viable.
Yeah but how the hell did people get to Hawaii?
This is Amazing!
The Ocean is my biggest fear the loneliness the silence such a beautiful majestic place but it just feels and seems to lonely and lets not forget the depths of the unknown.
As a woman. This is all wrong
Mindboggling. And then you have to consider how all of our ancient seafaring ancestors did the same damn thing and worse.
❤ wonderful great journey
NOT SERIOUS
ummm the people of madagascar came from Africa... it's like 5 miles away.
even people of sentinel island came from Africa
even people of sentinel island came from Africa
the good old days when scientists were malnourished, too
😂
I don’t know if I should scold them or be proud of them.😭
Your generation gets Bob Hobman going across the Indian ocean in a weaved boat and our generation gets Bear Grills cuddling a sex pest in a river. Jesus.
These types of stories are never brought up in classical or liberal education. This world is being sold into slavery
To Chico and the rest of the crew Salute 💪
Well that guys narration is extremely depressing, and if they were feeling a little hopeful to start, it certainly is no surprise listening to his daily recordings that they would be mentally tense and hopeless. But happy to say, they don’t lose heart, they press forward, and with hope and grit, and Gods help, ….good news.
i am worried that the man bathing, washed his face last 😒
A very wonderful special happy birthday June thankyou for sharing, it felt like I was present and having a great time dancing 😃

As an Indonesian girl,, my grandparents and great grandpa told us that in the past sailing with best prayers for the storm to be calm down during the sailing. That's one of our beliefs. Pray 🙏🤲 Indonesian used to these ships to our daily transportation.
Amazing film. Gripping.
This video reminds me of the voyage of Kon Tiki that Thor Heyerdahl did. They had kind of the same problems en route. Thanks for posting.
Im from indonesian, and now in 2024 im wachting this epic voyager. Thanks bill and crew for share with us
I would say your biggest blessing was the sacrifice Chico made to keep Mr. Murphy from inserting his will on the vessel's vulnerabilities. RIP Chico and congratulations to the rest of the crew. I would have lost what remains of my mind
