Hi - Alex nice video. Very clear and precise. A warm embrace always Sb
Thank you Brother 🙏
Thank You, Sifu.
Hawk flies through forest
Yes,, will post it in a few days, it has several concepts.
Thank you for the video. When I see people demonstrate applications of pao chuan it seems like they always skip the initial part of the form which you have also done here. Do you have thoughts on the purpose of that raising and pulling in and down of the arms movement if it isn't used in application?
Not sure how i missed this! Love it Alex
I highly suggest people train with this man. A true Martial gentleman…
I lost count of all the gems that you shared which demystify and clarify many commonly-taught principles of the internal styles, Shifu. I'm so grateful and blessed to have found your channel. 🙏🏻
Thank you,, I'm happy its useful!
Brilliant. . .You are a breath of fresh air Shifu Kozma :)
Happy you enjoy it Matt.......just Alex is fine 😊
@@lineofintent Thank you so much :)
Time is not of the essence, time is the essence. Remember that Alex.
Hey Feris ! How are you? Hmm let me ponder that a while.....😊
Alex please can you tell me is I Liq Chuan is a sect or dangerous cult or they normal guys?
Buddhist practitioners and good martial arts
@@lineofintent but if in present moment for example you have to swim or make some accupuncture or drink some medicine herbs for saving your life but according I liq chuan philosophy all this knowledge came from the past and it is not true nature so if you know as i said that some herb will help you must not do it because this knowledge came from the past or swiming you have to drawn because swiming is also experiense from past.
Being present means all past experience is available, not you become a zombie
@@lineofintent Thank you for answer because i was shocked after his lections and explanation and dont anderstand nothing you simple and correct explain me this.
Truly insightful :)
I remember the first time we met, we went off to the garage of your house in wales to do chin na flow drills working these concepts. As a daito ryu Jiujitsu black belt and bouncer I thought I had some skills. You left me in no doubt I had much to learn. 🙏 deepest respects brother. 🙏
Those were some of my best training days Brother, you and Paul and the other guys, think we all needed dit da jiao after most sessions 😊 love and respect always 🙏
Very nice demonstration Alex.
Another thing that might not be obvious is how your student is afraid of your striking because internal arts can cause extremely serious damage with strikes and he seems to be acutely aware of this.
Thanks, yes but in several years training with me no injuries, we are careful to control our force.
Yes exactly!
This is the reason that many people(even kung fu practioners) think that chi na don't work .They try to do it without striking or kicking first .Great video.
There’s also the failure of “sticking” or the ability to adhere to the enemy as he resists. Because they often try to make a technique work with a preconceived idea in mind, they don’t understand the technique itself as being incidental to the movement. When the enemy withdraws they lose him or fail to adapt. Thank you.
Awesome bro as alwaya
I’d love to take some instruction from this gent. I’m 72 and still have what I call ’hand fighting’, or controlling the arms in my brain from my wrestling years. My style was to never tie up, but to control the wrists and move to a takedown. This gent sounds British, but I wonder where he practices?
Cambridge in the UK.
Hes in UK and a 💎
I like it Alex!
very nice :)
Alex .. it's great to see you sharing this info .. art arts are dying out 👌👍
Proper! Like good black strong coffee
Love this :)
Priceless. 👍
Thank you
Such a gem and only 300 views.. A shame...
Happy you enjoy it! Please share.
Wonderful. I coult sit there and watch for hours :-)
Do you see difference approach or techniques training methods from yours style from Zhang dao dongs xingyibaguazhang to the Jiang rong qiao baguazhang? PS. I like you show the entry methods in the bagua basics. This gives a more offensive tactics to set up bagua techniques.
What Rogers does doesnt looks like Xing Yi Bagua. More like an almost identical older Cheng Pai to me.
@@BeifengDaorenYes, Rogers Bagua has more Cheng flavor. But the Moves and Positurs are the same as from the xingyi Fraktion bagua teacher like Zhang zhao dong, Sun lutang, Jiang rong qiao, Han mu xia etc. - it is in term of forms different as the cheng style from teachers like Sun xikun, Liu Jing ru, Ma Lin cheng and others.
@@BeifengDaoren Maybe I am wrong of the older forms of cheng shi baguazhang. Are the forms from sun xi cun, Liu Jing ru, Ma Lin cheng in your opinion a newer variation of cheng style. And which form is the most authentic xingyibaguazhang from Zhang zhao dong in your opinion?
I enjoy your work for years. Much respect.
As my master frequently liked to say "Kung fu is the study of the mind" not the body; not the musculature (although strength and structure are important) the heart-mind, the intention, the "spirit"? is the most important, and is where true power comes from. Once you "get it" you can apply it to any discipline...The only point of difference, for me, with what he is saying, is that I wouldn't translate this feeling as "relaxation"---the feeling is usually translated this way, in English, but I feel that what we should be saying instead, is "openness" You need to be open; your whole body, inch by inch. Which takes attention, time, and practice. Just my opinion. Thank you for posting this, Sir.
Thank you
Absolute gold here. Thank you.
Great stories and demonstrations of Taiji and Xingyi skills! Thanks a lot for sharing 🙏
Thank you !!!!
Brilliant :)
Bought this some years ago from Kozma/LoI and its great! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much for this! Super useful & helpful! I've been wondering for some time now if I should buy a Wing Chun ring like this and I must say what Mike Kaniewski is saying here and how he's showing the benefits of using the ring on the examples here, man, that's all I needed to know! :D Especially what he says and shows in 4:25 Oh, and the point about the 'spiralling hand'? That principle is HUGE! :) Immediately reminded me of some Xinyi movements.. So much to learn! :D Thank you!!
Was interesting to listen to you wing chun 🤝🙏
Great interview, looking forward to the books!
9 + 6 minutes only? Your interviews are usually much longer. Is that all there is? I'm convinced he has a lot more to say.
I really enjoy your work :) thank you for all your effort. I'm going to buy your book "warrior guards the mountain" soon :) By the way, I have a few suggestion about your interviews: Sifu Sharif Bey who teaches Hung Ga, and Sifu Mark Rasmus who teaches TaiJiQuan and Wing Chun.
Thanks Vic!
Hi Paul Sorry but I am still trying to get in contact with you for some online lessons, you may have sent a link but I can,t retrieve it. there are too many with your name on Facebook. can you resend please
