So you spend 60 odd grand on a car then have to fit your own immobiliser.

Ghost has saved my vehicle twice. Once from relay theft at home before I knew about Faraday pouches, second time, the keys stolen off my desk at work and tried to take it off car park.They ran off with ghe key, luckily only the drivers door has a key barrel, so replaced that and reprogrammed new fob and unpaired old one.

I know a lot of wealthy people and most of them drive older cars and live in rural areas well away from cities. Whats the point in having bling if all you do is worry about it ? Paranoid owners with houses crammed with CCTV, cars with half a dozen anti theft devices, all connected to you phone on apps, constantly checking for anything, owning a Rolex you cant wear outside etc just no point in any of it. If people need all that to convince themselves it makes them happy then they were not happy in the first place.

Just a few clarification points: what is the "range" on the id tags/card? If my key is cloned via relay can the signal from the tags/card be amplified too to make the car think the tag is near/present? This would basically render the sytem useless? Also if pairing to a smartphone can this signal be amplified from your device too?

Not sure who designed this. Locking the brakes would be a high priority for me.

I just have an old car, no push button start for me, I’d rather spend my money on traveling and other things.

Have this system, really good. I notice though, sometines when i get in the car the car won't start first try. I have to turn the ignition on, then wait around 5 seconds, then hit the ignition again to start the car. Almost like the systen isn't linking. Is this just one of those things if the car sits for a day or so, or is it faulty? Always works if i do the ignition first and wait a few seconds before trying to start though. Anyone else have this?

Removing your fuel pump / supply relay will do the same if it dont start they not calling the AA

Ghost immobiliser is the way. In 2021 theifs got into my uncles BMW, they didnt know the car had a ghost immobiliser. all they saw was a chain on the steering wheel attached to the brake pedal. This was to make it look like easy to just cut off and drive off. Was a surprise to them when they realised cutting the chain off didnt work😂

I disabled keyless entry on my cars, stops them using signal boosters/relays to open and start your car. It's really no hardship pressing a button on a fob to open.

If this immobiliser is so cutting edge how come the car started and momentarily moved? Wouldn’t it be best that the car is never able to start full stop?

I still think this is pointless, the robbers actually got the car to reverse it quite a bit and clearly could have left it in a vulnerable state on a main road

i am an ex insurance broker and think that this alarm system is the best that money and valueables can buy why manufacterers e.g land rover do not fit it is beyond me GET A MOVE ON AND GET THE GHOST 2 .......
