Notre-Dame des Rochers, une île artificielle célèbre au Monténégro situé près de Perast dans la baie de Boka. Selon la légende, l'îlot a été fait au fil des siècles par des marins locaux qui ont gardé un ancien serment après avoir trouvé une peinture de la Vierge Marie et l'Enfant coincé sur un rocher en saillie le 22 Juillet 1452. On dit qu'ils ont ramené le tableau à la maison et que du jour au lendemain, celui qui avait été estropié, a été guéri. Ils ont pris cela comme un signe et ont juré de construire une église sur place. Au retour de chaque voyage réussi, ils posèrent un rocher dans la baie. Au fil du temps, l'îlot a progressivement émergé de la mer. Il y a encore une tradition vivante aujourd'hui, où chaque année, le 22 juillet, un événement appelé Fašinada se produit. Les résidents locaux prennent leurs bateaux et jettent des pierres dans la mer pour s'assurer que l'île reste ferme. L'église remonte au 17 ème siècle et il y a aussi un musée à l'intérieur qui abrite des artefacts et un trésor de cadeaux du monde entier, tels que la poterie et la porcelaine. Ils étaient des cadeaux de gratitude du peuple à Notre-Dame des Rochers, parce qu'elle les gardait en sécurité lors des longs et dangereux voyages. Magnifique❤❤❤ Mercii 💖💝💖

It is essentially the same 'problem' we have with 'The Pyramids.' Constructed/moved approximately 4,000 years ago - How did they do it? The honest answer is: No one knows. It was obviously a technology we do not have today. Hundreds of years of figuring it out, and still the answer still is, "We don't know."

A wonderful overview of the Old Town. I live here and it is always different, always full of surprises and beauty.

Oh my goodness, travelling by train is the BEST thing to get around on your travels - the scenery views they offer something that road travel and air travel can't beat - all within the comfort of your carriage seat - hope they had some good food and drinks onboard Now the place itself is unreal and the fact that you can get via train is giving me the urge to visit!

back in the 90's they used to have a pub there called the Admiral Benbow, and every wednesday they had karaoke for ESL students. I was going out with a Japanese girl at the time and so used to attend and it was a great laugh. there was a pier disco after. I was always a bit jealous of the foreigners living in Hastings because they had a lot of fun studying English and living together and sometimes they even had host families that were super well-off, there was an irish old guy (millionaire) that lived in St.Leonards and he had about a dozen rooms for the exchange students, and they used to have massive house parties there every weekend and it was always funny seeing that old guy just sitting on the settee smiling away and enjoying the energy of it all. bet he's passed away by now, god bless.

Great video. it's my hometown and I just came back from there after a long, 8 year absence. Now I feel a bit nostalgic, back in Asia. I will return again one day when I'm old and my travelling days are done.

Oh man this is truly an amazing city you've visited! Everything from the oldie worldy architecture to the rivers/greenery to the food is just looking fab beyond words. Plus you just saw a load of antique streetlighting and the one beside the fountain at 11:06 is absolutely gorgeous - I wonder how they glow during the evening though Superb video there - this is something that I want to consider visiting

Sadly you only concentrated on a small area of the town. Having lived there for many years, its not all nice like that that at all!

I think Avebury was a Giant Aquatic Race Facility. The outer edges could be grandstands and the inner is the midfield like in car racing. Since the area was underwater during the period it was built, and what are all the other larger structures left from other civilizations of the past that aren't defensive in nature? A hippodrome or an Arena or a Colosseum, or a Theater. Imagine bridges like in racing for cars. We don't change as much as we think. We do adapt to the times and the technology. Could explain the rowing tradition in England.
