    Looks like a "disease" on these bikes. I have mine for about 3 months now and it was silent all the time. A few days ago it started creaking. Not very loud but very annoying. Washed it when I came home and first took the shock out and went for another ride. Still creaking, so I took the cranks off and cleaned it all. Also took the main pivot bolt out, cleaned it, greased it and torqued to spec. Been silent since.

  • @TinPanduric
    @TinPanduric 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Guys, if you got a new bike like that, you need to remove all bolts from the bike, grease the parts that needs to be greased and put glue again on the screws. Solves all creaking and clicking, 100%. Did that bike, and now bike is running perfectly!!!!

    @DaffraontheMTB 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great review. Recently bought the same bike on a huge discount and so far I like it a lot. But can I ask if you change the spacer in the shock only for the bottoming out? I'm asking because mine feels kinda harsch when I ride trails that have lots of small bumps in quick succession. Feels great on the bigger hits but no matter what I try with rebound and compression, I can't seem to find that sweetspot on this shock. I'm thinking to get those spacers and try to ride with the biggest and lower the pressure.

    • @ZRMTB
      @ZRMTB 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thats awesome! This bike is amazing. Did you set your sag correctly? For me I found that having less sag in both shock and fork made the bike feel better. So about 15 % sag. I actually removed all spacers from fork and went with smaller spacer in shock.

      @@ZRMTB really? Makes sense, your the first video I see of this type of change. How do you personally like the bike when going uphill?

      @@csalinas-sf6jg This is my wife’s bike. But I had the EX8. It climbs great in either Hi or Low position. I prefer the low position for more stable feeling going down.

    How many spacers would you recommend for a 240lbs rider?

    • @ZRMTB
      @ZRMTB ปีที่แล้ว

      I would set the sag correctly on your fork first and then add spacers as you go.

      I weigh 190 and I settled on two spacers with 25% sag.

      How do you set the sag properly without volume spacers? I'm new these airshocks I weigh around the same maybe bit heavier I got the bike to shed the tonnes first lol but I can't get the sag set anywhere close without volume spacers and still maxing out the 140psi there brand new 38s something I'm doing wrong or just not able for heavier riders?
