Very informative videos keep pushing out that good content,do you use your ssn or a ein number for your eBay business?
I had been pushing old inventory out to get the original money back to speed up cashflow and allow me to use the already invested money instead of inputing more. Get better items with the money I should of first spent with better items, and regain the original faster but also making better profit than bad items. The grind is real, but the goal is possible.

This past weekend I looked at my numbers from last year. The weekend before Christmas leading up to Christmas Eve was slow then my sales jumped back up starting Christmas Day till the end of the year. Be sure to compare yours sales too, and don't get stressed if they drop. When people get those Visa gift cards on Christmas they are going to start spending that money.

How are you making money on eBay?
Just selling items online. We try to buy for $7-$9. Sell for $30 plus shipping and then Do that a lot of times. With the items I was buying earlier in the year, we wanted to buy $1, sell between $12-$20 plus shipping.

Sometimes after I DoorDash, (usually I finish around midnight) I take a nap in the car. Just depends on how much sleep I got the night before
Awesome day! I am not sure but I would bet if you put the doordash time into ebay you would make double what you make on doordash in that time.
Yeah I just need to grow my sourcing budget so I can list even more pairs per day. As I begin listing more and more pairs per day, I’ll likely start cutting back on DoorDash time. Just have to keep it up until I get to that point!

I had some weaknesses in my business that I never solved, so as my business grew more complex and I started having more additional expenses, the business started spiraling out. So now I’ve been building the foundation of the business so I scale easier and more profitably
@ I actually watched your video where you talked about you stopped buying from your supplier and that’s where issues started. I wish you the best. I trust that now that you know you can sell higher priced shoes just like tech recommends and you only need to sell 15 a day. Once you get your cash flow situated everything will get better getting that snowball in the beginning going when you don’t have another income is incredibly stressful and hard. Good luck!

Whats your bin system process? I know in the group I heard you mention on one of the calls that its by date? Also if a bin gets low do you fill it or wait until its completely empty, after its low if you fill it do you just put the next date on it?
Depends on my listing goal, but the bins can fit about 20 shoes. So since I list 20 shoes a day, they all fit in one bin and that bin gets a date and time label that matches the date and time the shoes were listed. Once December 13th and 14th sell off enough of their shoes, then they’ll get condensed and the label will now say Dec 13th and 14th) if multiple days are being condensed.. it’ll say Dec 12th-15th. Hopefully this makes sense!

I don't care what anyone says, I know when it's eBay. They definitely be tripping somethings 😅. It generally at least evens out. This is one reason to not panic. Most businesses are struggling through this right now. Business is like boxing. Sometimes you are throwing punches, and sometimes you are taking them and it is only a matter of making it to the bell to fight another round.
You're doing good, just keep doing what you're doing and sales will pick up, the economy is bad right now and if you can make it right now you'll be killing it when things get better with the economy and people have more expendable income

The only thing we can do is what we know works- listing, sending those offers and simply not giving up. The wave will pass. They soon will be just ripples in the water. You're not alone! I cried yesterday when some tops I cleaned for listing still had stains, ugh!! I remembered Tech saying would he sell it if I gave it to him? That calmed me down and I can just make quick decisions to just give them away if the stains dont' budge.
Thanks for sharing! I go through this same rollercoaster of emotions with reselling based on my daily sales. Trying to remember that if I do the right things consistently, the money will flow in accordingly. Easier said than done, of course. Got to build that muscle, good luck!
Looking at the day-to-day, hour-to-hour activity will get into your head. I think we’ve all tried to stare at the app and will sales.Some months will be better than others. If you get stressed out, remind yourself that you can always do some extra DD.
Don't ever let go of hope, nephew. Hope is the belief that something is possible but not certain to happen. When you have hope, you move towards the possible direction. Without hope, you don't get out of bed. Now, the flip side is learning to deal with disappointment. It happens. It's not the end of the world & tomorrow is a new day to start again. Try not to let eBay dictate your emotional state. You or no one else can contol when sales come in. Yesterday, I got one sale & that was payment from yesterday 😅. What did I do? I think because I’m using “sizes” and “styles” to illustrate what I’m saying in the video, my actual goal is unclear. The goal isn’t to use a spreadsheet and say “We need to get more size 6s and Mens 13s today.” The goal is increase the amount of pairs we are offering. I have over 2000 items available in the store, but to hit the numbers I want, the most direct path is growing the store while maintaining/improving the quality. So we are currently reinvesting so we can hit 3000 pairs in the future and then 4000 pairs beyond that. The size and styles ranges will come naturally through that process. Hopefully this makes it a little more clear.
What helped me with messages for a category choice, is I have in each listing “copy and paste this link to see all of the xyz” that way they can go to the category & look 👀. But when cross posting have to remember to remove

I usually spend about $15 per day on gas. Yesterday, I went sourcing for eBay and put $15 of gas in the tank afterwards. During the two hours of dashing, we used less than 1/4th the tank or so. So what’s that $3 or so??

That makes total sense. Without being a licensed distributor, what are your plans to get styles with all size ranges? We don't have a lot of choices in the secondhand market. I take what I can get.
Fortunately the path is pretty straight forward for us. Due to our capital being limited, we have a very tight sourcing budget. As of now, we can only add 140 or so pairs to the store per week. As we get more total cash, we’ll have to choose to either maintain the store size and save the extra money or invest that money into more growth. By reinvesting… eventually I can purchase 175 pairs a week. 200 pairs a week. 250 pairs a week. This should naturally cause us to have more shoes available for the most common sizes/styles and should give us more opportunities to collect desirable pairs in the less common sizes/styles.
You are in the pre owned shoe business right? The issue is not your stock. People always want something more. That's not bad it just is. Maybe a better job of educating your client. Being clearer that this is the shoe and size your have right now. Send a message to follow store and check back often.
I tell customers to follow and check back in every communication I have with them. It’s a good practice! However, If I don’t have the styles nor size they want, why should/would that customer follow through on that? If they did follow the store and when they check back after several weeks you still don’t have what they are looking for, then why continue following and checking the store? eBay tells us how much customer interest we had during any given period of time. There were 37,772 times in the last 31 days where a customer clicked on one of my listings. And there were 4,307 instances where someone actually entered my store, we didn’t sell 4300 pairs, 2100 pairs, nor 1000 pairs, not even 750 pairs because many of those customers didn’t see anything they wanted. It might just be how it is, but because it’s reality, the business doesn’t generate nearly as much money as it could even though the customers were there with their wallets.

Just pick up the (best) shoes, brand, size… list them and you will make sales. Would it be nice to have variations for repeat customers?
