I tie hundreds of jigs mostly for Crappie and Bream.. I tie some larger ones for my friend who fish for Bass or Stripers. I don’t bother with a heat gun, I just use a candle. The only thing is you can’t get your head too close to the flame or you will get soot on your head. Like you said there is not much better than landing a big fat slab on a jig you made. As for whip finishing, you will get the hang of it.. it just takes a little practice. I paint a thin coat of Resin over my thread, head and eyes to prevent chipping. You will DEFINITELY lose it before it chips. Was great watching your style and I appreciate your tip on TJ’s Tackle I will definitely have to order some new paints from them, they have a lot of cool custom colors! Thanks and keep tying

Good evening brother no problem I don’t mind sharing . I run a Garmin 1222 for Livescope only on top an a Garmin 93sv Plus which that’s for gps marking only an have another 93sv Plus in the back of the boat those two are linked together with the Ethernet cable. Livescope is the original Garmin 32 lvs . Am for the mounts I use the grand stand by Dub-L-Seat am at the time in these videos I was running a lowpro mount that bolted directly to my MinnKota Ultrex to turn the Livescope transducer which now I have moved on from that mount I use a All Aboard Marine all sync mount that bolts directly to my Ultrex . I also use Amped outdoors 48ah lithium to power the screens up front hope all this info helps out . Have a blessed day An thanks for watching

Great video…I had problems with my 1st whip finisher from Umpqua so purchased a 2nd from Loon and the difference was night & day…after comparing, the Loon had much sharper angles while the Umpqua was more square. After bending the Umpqua angles more aggressively to match those of the Loon, they both work very well.
