I was there for 2 wks this past May. I love it; the people were so nice, the food was unbelievable, lots to see and do. I loved Porto more than Lisbon--Lisbon had MANY tourists (lol) and smokers. But the Algarve area was lovely, beaches beautiful....there are many types of visas, not just Golden. I am researching as wee speak.

I absolutely love Brazil and Brazilian people. But how misleading your introduction: a stable economy, good infrastructure and healthcare....You must be kidding. Brazil has many beautiful places, but it remains a violent society, plagued with an ineffective bureaucracy, a tax system even more complicate than the US (yes, hard to believe), bad infrastructure, plenty of poverty and slums, drugs and gangs, and many other issues. Yes, there are beautiful and safe pockets within the country, Curitiba is a really nice city for example. But unless you really need to live cheaply, it's not really an option for someone from a wealthier and more stable country. After all, that's why so many rich Brazilians still want to live in the US or parts of Europe.

I am trying to imagine the life style I am going to live in this beautiful country. I always dreamed of one day visiting and meeting another beautiful South American woman like I once had relationship with and almost married when I was a Marine. The nature, the animals, the beautiful women, the beaches, the variations food from all over the world, the festivals, it goes on and on! My budget of about $5,000 dollars U.S. , I am still young even though I am retired now at 56 and single. Thank god I still have my looks and still in shape! "Ladies!!!!!"😉😁😆Less than a year!!!😂

Despite my good judgement, my wife forced me to move to France, and I hated every minute of it. Here are the reasons I prefer the U.S. 1. There is no Walmart. 2. There is no 24-hour drug store. 3. Food portion is much smaller. 4. Roads are too narrow. 5. Most buildings are old and crumbling. 6. They barely speak English. 7. People are too sensitive. 8. Gas is too expensive. 9. Their trucks don't have V8 engine. 10. Hard to find pasteurised cheese. That's it.

I think the monthly costs are misrepresented in this video. I don’t know where they pulled those numbers. The budget amounts may work if you live a very frugal lifestyle and tightly monitor your expenses. Outside of the numbers I think these locations are desirable.
