QSC ks118 vs BASSBOSS SSP118 I tested both speakers at the same levels of output , in my opinion I think that QSC sounded good with most tracks, on the other hand I think BASSBOSS is lacking the punch in the 80 to 110 Hz but have a very good low end from 30 to 65 Hz.
Hi this is very useful info. I wanted ask, with the RX3 do you add another mixer or you connect straight to the speakers? I am wanting to upgrade my set without an external mixer

Now that you have had time with the subs. If you had to keep only one model, would you keep the vs21s or ssp118s? Also, have you noticed either one sounds better than the other in terms of punchiness and clarity?
Very different subs I don’t play them by themselves individually so I can’t really answer that question but the are definitely awesome
@@nice47able Thank you for the response. I am just conflated with which to buy. I hear some people say the ssp118 is punchier than the vs21, some poeple say the ssp118 sounds better and other say the vs21 sounds better. I was wondering which of the two you prefer the sound of (since they both have a different sound). I want the one that is punchier, yet still deep enough for things live sound, and some sub bass. Thank you

Great video! I come back to watch this video at least once a week and wish I had all of the power you are showing in the video! I have four 18-inch subs (2 passive, 2 powered), but not on this level. At this point it is all about preference and your knowledge on how sound waves work. I prefer Yorkville ES18p or the Yorkville ES21p. Using a dbx drive rack pa2 you can really make the subs come to life. It also depends on how much you can afford.
Have you personally heard bassboss subs?
@@GetBusy-b3z yes. The built quality is the best, and the sub can go even lower than the Yorkville the only problem is the price and the db is a lot lower than the Yorkville. The Yorkvilles are monsters subs at a really good price
@@Emvkazama In terms of clarity and overall musicality, how would the ssp118 and vs21 compare to the es21p ? I have heard the es21p and find it to be very muddy. Havent gotten a chance to listen to ssp118 or VS21
@@GetBusy-b3z not so big. I will recommend for you to listen to them personally. Every one has different preferences. What ever you like the most and you can afford should be your choice. I used to love qsc and I replaced them for what I like.

Qsc is not bad goes down to 40 hz - 6 db BASSBOSS goes down to 30 hz +\- 3 db which

I got the SSP118 MKII. Is there much difference between the MKII and MKIII? Is it worth the upgrade?
In my opinion no, I think the mk2 sounds better than the mk3 , the mk3 BASSBOSS said you can add more presets to it which BASSBOSS have yet to give us access to
great review but i think i get pass qsc ks118 manufacturer spl and bass from their amp but in my custom made Martin audio Ws18 bass reflex box that i built this beast is loud popo was at my house lastnight and i chase them like get da F😂😂😂

Feels like we are at home here. Now we are looking for speakers for use with a LIVE BAND. We do a lot of Raggae, Soca, Zouk that requires CLEAN but punchy bass lines etc. Average crowd size is 300-500 people. We just 'discovered' BASSBOSS (especially their subcs) and were initially about to pull the plug on RCF. Could someone explain to us the best set up for Live Band and best options. We are thinking RCF tops and BassBoss Subs. RCF no longer makes 3 way tops which are the best for live bands especially when vocal clarity is a must - which 2 way speakers seem to 'strain' a little with. Your help will be truly appreciated - again for LIVE BAND (not DJ/clean) music.

"Words can't describe how good these speakers are" I know exactly what you mean man, haha. I don't own any of these yet but I'm eyeing the ZV28. I first heard BassBoss equipment (as far as I know) via the Redbull Van stage from Lost Lands 2021. That shit was the best audio I've ever heard, perfectly clear. IMO it was better than even the actual festival setup. It was SO good.

I am looking for a clean, punchy and deep sub for live sound for around 150 people, in a 40ft by 35ft building. I was wondering between the ssp118 and VS21 which of the two is cleaner and more punchy, and whether the ssp118 is deep enough? Which one would you recommend for my application?

Well done. I must say, watching your video got me rethinking my game plan. Had narrowed down my next subwoofer purchase to QSC or RCF. But now gotta check these out and hear them in person. If you are in the tristate area (ny, nj, ct) would love to pass through one of your events to hear them first hand. Havent seen any other place to test them out.

Hi Dj Totalniceness, between the ssp118 and the vs21, which one would you say sounds fuller and more is engaging? I want to get 1 for live sound, where electronic sub bass from a keyboard will be added. But I wonder wherether the vs21 is worth the extra price? Is there a big difference in the fullness, deepness, punchiness and clarity between the ssp118 and the vs21? Thanks
One vs 21 is equivalent to two ssp118
@@nice47able If you were to level match them (play them at the same volume), is vs21 much fuller, deeper and cleaner sounding or are they similar? (I will be playing at around 100db, so higher volume is not a priority for now)

That's how a set should sound, I used to sound like this in the 70s using 5.5ft tall by 4ft wide double 18in home made boxes. Bassboss seems to be the only company that understands bass reproduction, if you can't get down to the 35hz to 25hz reigon you'll always find yourself wanting. Thanks for the video's 🔊🔉🎶🎼🎵🎼🔊🔉
