I love the fact that he is smaller but intimidating with his long neck, anf still it looks natural when he does that here. I like how you made his lil friend (I don't remember his name 😭) and the people, they look like lost souls and ready for hope at the same time, Idkw

This was the moment that really made me sit back in my chair and go “it’s great. This whole time, it’s been great. This is art. Why didn’t I see it before? I thought it was just a shitpost. I was wrong.” Excellent animatic. I especially like LKJ stretching like he does. Adds that little bit of uncanniness that makes RBG’s stuff so mesmerizing.

Man, this really turns LKJ from "weirdly animated rat creature" into "horrifying monster that just wears the appearance of a rat". Really makes him from something goofy into something that comes off as legitimately threatening. Wonderful job.

This dialogue lives rent-free in my head, even with barely-emotional robot voices, the things they’re saying by itself makes it so full of life and intensity. I strive for that kind of writing skill.

This right here- this animatic has stuck in my mind ever since it got recommended to me a year or two ago, and this was around the time I was learning that Ratboy Genius had done more than just an iconic scene for Shrek Retold Tonight, I finally sat down and binge-watched all of the main Ratboy Genius videos, and I'm very glad I did. It ended up being much more than I ever expected; an incredibly creative and artistic series with a ton of heart and personal passion layered into it. Thank you so much for making this animatic and introducing me to the emotional artistry of this series! As I believe RecD said on a different RBG animatic of yours, these animatics have helped bridge the gap between unaware viewers (like me) and RBG's works, and I'm super grateful The animatic pairs also so well with RBG's sweeping soundtrack, it's a joy to watch- had to come back here and share my appreciation once more now that I've seen the original work that inspired it ^^ I'm also now able to appreciate details in this animatic that I wasn't able to without context the first time

You know an artist is good when their sketch characters lookslik scrambles of lines at some parts, but you can still see exactly what the pose is

I’m not being the slightest bit ironic when I say this video changed the way I viewed RBG as a narrative. I still imagine the characters in this art style

5 years later and it still holds a place in my heart. I am impressed.
