These servers will all be backed by nexon, which means more capacity to run higher player based servers with no issues. Thats the only difference compared to private servers. Thts why maple lands is able to run over 100k+ players

@@diannahimi7822 Thanks for the comment First of all, I can say that this server is very similar to pre-BB MapleStory. The quests are the same, the experience rate is 1x, the physics are the same and while Monster Carnival isn’t available yet, you can still play KPQ, LPQ, and OPQ. Some convenience features, like Under Jump, are implemented to a certain extent. So, while it's not completely 'old-school' MapleStory, I feel that the changes makes easier to players to play rather than being inconveniences. Due to the MSW limitations, a server can only accommodate up to 60 players, which makes it really difficult when trading, as loading times when switching channels are very long. In Mapleland, they've updated the delivery system, and everyone trades using deliveries. If you're expecting a completely unchanged 'PURE' server, it might not be what you're looking for. However, aside from the unavoidable limitations of MSW, you can see they've tried to recreate old-school MapleStory as closely as possible

@@GitGud깃굿 Thank you for the answer, it does indeed sound like what I was hoping for. A few QoL changes or MSW limitations would not destroy my fun, as long as the core game feels the same. I was mostly worried about the physics feeling 'odd', and did not want it to have high EXP rate like many private servers do. Good luck on your leveling! :>

@@WhiteMalay Personally, I also think HP Washing is wrong, but it wasn’t a miscalculation it was actually intentional by Wizet. The first player who discovered HP Washing was “지발돈좀,” and he mentioned that it wasn’t something you could do infinitely. If that had been possible, it would've caused serious issues. Plus, HP Washing was found before Leafre, and the devs knew about it when they created Leafre. Basically, they designed it so that if you didn’t HP Washing, you’d get one-shot killed in Leafre. pretty much as a way to get players to spend more money. That’s why most KMS players hate HP Washing. But I’ve noticed global private servers still use it, and they keep it because they see it as a feature. This got me curious about how global players feel about it. Even though it’s a small minority, there are still some people in KMS who want to play on “pure” servers where nothing’s changed. They argue that things like the under jump in Mapleland don’t fit the idea of a true “pure” server. Personally, I think some convenience features should be added. For example, with the limited space in MapleStory World (about 60 players per server), trading is really tough. So instead of sticking to “purity,” wouldn’t it make sense to add something like an auction house system, even if it didn’t exist pre-Big Bang?

@@GitGud깃굿 Wow, thanks for that knowledge drop! I personally think it seems gimmicky for HP washing to exist since it requires NX to do which unless its on a private server, generally means an irl cost just to access the end-game content. At that point it might not be fundamentally different from cubing. Personally the best way I've seen pservers handling this gap in HP required in the form of Custom Quest content, rewarding players with increased HP/MP as well as the addition of untradeable consumable items form lower level bosses that gives max HP. Why not turn a necessary but dull and irl money sink into more fun content that tells the player "These monsters over here are so powerful that the can one shot you, so you better grind to get tougher"

@@WhiteMalay Thanks for the comment! I’ve never played on a private server before, so I didn’t know custom quest content was a thing. But I know some pre-BB servers on KR MSW have a similar system where you can increase your max HP through monster collection. I just hope Global MSW can be as successful as KR MSW

@@christhopherweinfurter4046 Hey! This server is called Mapleland. It's not a private server, just one of the servers in MSW Korea, but you need a VPN and a Korean phone number to play. Since MapleStory World Global is coming out on October 16th, maybe it's easier to wait for that!

@@ExtraPainful No, Actually, content beyond the Leafre release can also be created in MSW. Servers like Rona World and Artale (other pre-BB MapleStory servers on MSW) have already developed Leafre and even 4th job advancements

@@Lucerions In MapleLand, Leafre hasn't been released yet, and doing HP washing is still impossible for now. However, in other channels of Maple World, such as Arteil, you can increase your maximum HP by using potions, and in Rona World, you can grow your maximum HP through Monster Collection. If Leafre or Horntail eventually comes to MapleLand, they will probably introduce a system to increase maximum HP as well. In the upcoming server in MSW global, I'm curious about how players will be able to increase their max HP

You’ve got a sharp eye, haha. Actually, most of the videos are pretty old. In fact, I filmed from level 1 to 33 all in one day, but in the videos, it looks like it took a much longer time.

I completely agree with you I’m also worried that Global MSW might not have enough players, especially if people get split across different servers. It could really hurt the player base. Plus, like you mentioned, things like HP washing are a big turnoff for a lot of people. I just hope they can create a server that’s as successful as MapleLand in Korea, but honestly, I’m skeptical it’ll attract the same number of players, especially since the official launch is limited to the Americas for now.

As much as there is hype for a "Old school server with no changes" im worried that a completely untouched server will fizzle out or flop in the GMS market. KMS players are hardcores and more dedicated, GMS players are not. I feel some minor changes need to be made for it to be successful in the global market

There’s a superstition that doing good deeds brings good fortune, haha. I just meant that being kind in general could bring me good luck. For example, baseball player Shohei Ohtani is known for often picking up trash, almost like he’s collecting good luck. And last year, T1 fans who support Faker did good deeds like donating and picking up trash to wish for T1’s victory.

Hello again! Thanks for the comment! I think it’s always better to go for pure INT in the early stages. One of the advantages of pure INT is that it increases the maximum mana I gain when leveling up also there aren’t really any significant benefits from the items I can wear early on, so it makes more sense to focus on pure INT. If I want to switch things up later, I can start putting points into LUK from level 24 and then adjust my item setup. And pure INT is quite strong without any items. Since I’m going to play as a Cleric, increasing LUK would boost minimum healing damage and reduce misses, but I’m just going to stick with pure INT for now.

haven’t heard any new news about MSW Global either. However, since it’s supposed to be released this year, I guess we’ll have to trust Nexon. I was hoping that MapleStory Memories 2005 would be a pre-BB version of MapleStory, but it wasn’t, so now the only thing left to believe in is MSW Global. :D

Thanks for your kind response. About two years ago, I played GMS and noticed that it had many content features and convenience improvements that weren't available in KMS. This led me to wonder whether GMS removed the dice roll feature for the convenience of its users, but it seems like that wasn’t the case. It’s amazing that we have the same memories.
