How To Set VW ALH TDI Pump Timing Using Autel Scanner
In this video I show you how to do ALH pump timing using a Autel OBD2 Scanner instead of using the traditional VCDS and the OBD2 to USB dongle.
This method can be used for other Volkswagen TDI engine types, you will need to search for the correct graph the corresponds to the engine code.

    • @Cepyy916
      @Cepyy916 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@raiderznation well based on where you are located you won't pass visual inspection if you have those headers on, you'll have to install the stock header. Also p0420 can mean your cats are potentially bad, they sell a rear 02 sensor spacer that gets rid of the check engine light but you'll have to remove the spacer across the street from the test shop before getting it done or it'll fail visually. Or go the expensive route and get the cats replaced. Good luck! 👍

    • @Cepyy916
      @Cepyy916 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know around 2.8 is where you want to be for the most optimal setting, the higher the number the less fuel is sprayed, so if you are looking for more power you should lower the number and run higher boost. But obviously do that at your own risk and too much fuel will cause you to fail smog due to too much smoke out of the tail pipe

    • @Cepyy916

    cheapie headers, open up the holes and using a bare jack on metal tubes.. you're asking for problems. both flanges should slide in and loosely test fitting both sides at the same time. wd40, displaces water and is a terrible penetrating fluid. it's nice to see anyone still turning wrenches but a lot to learn here. back in the day, we didn't need to rtv on top of exhaust gaskets. just get a quality soft metal gasket and you're gtg and for god sake, use a torque wrench on everything

    • @Cepyy916

      The WD-40 was just for visual, im in california so no rust for me, and the headers were only 97 dollars I wasn't gonna put anymore effort making them fit nice, also I didn't purchase new gaskets so I had to use the include ones and they are garbage so that's the point of the red rtv. I've been having trouble finding what's compatible with what on my 2002 legacy GT. I know Subarus known to be interchangeable so hopefully these would fit.

      That's a good question, if your stock headers look exactly like mine then I'm pretty sure it'll fit, also look on the website that you decided to buy the uel headers from and see if your vehicle is listed on the compatible list, or you can always contact them and see what they say!

      @@Da818-SP My exhaust setup is, I have the uel headers that go to the stock cats, after the cats i still have my stock resonator after that it goes to an aftermarket muffler and exhaust tip. I did replace the muffler with a cherrybomb muffler and a generic black tip on the end. I had to do all the welding for the muffler and exhaust tip. Thanks for the nice comment by the way!

    • @Cepyy916

      @@jimrossabrena7955 I did end up wrapping the headers to keep the heat away from the oil filter, but while I was off roading one of my power steering lines got loose and dripped power steering fluid on the wrapped exhust and caught on fire, had to use coolant to put the fire out. So be careful with the wrap.

      Jason Dabestani my 2006 outback has the catalytic converter in the headers. So this would not work for me, I think it’s the same for your Impreza.
