    R6 colour fix.... less orange skin. 1. Change WB shift to B2, M2 then 2. In STD colour profile change Contrast -2, Colour Tone +2. Much more real life image now and the Auto WB is more reliable. I previously was having to switch to K and choose a lower temp slightly all the time!

      Hello, I have a rode video mic pro hooked up to my camera hotshoe. What’s more important is the lens. The canon lens that I use has a Nano USM motor that is quiet enough to mount the mic on the camera. If you have a noisy lens, get a stand and place the mic away from the camera.

I'm not sure about the idea of stock footage in this format. I guess that could be a thing. Though I'm not sure the medium lends itself to the same sort of video editing, b-roll, sort of stuff that's so common in 2D projects. You want to be careful what you're doing isn't too jarring. Just in case it's of use to anyone, here's some of my own random thoughts on the r5c, after about a year of use for weddings. I'm using it alongside two C70s. -- That fan isn't just useful for recording 4K without cooking your camera -- it's also good for 1080... if you're shooting outdoor ceremonies in 40 degree Celsius heat under a midday sun. (On that particular day, even the photographers' cameras were cooking.) -- Tally light on r5c is handy for any time when you've got the camera sitting on its lonesome. You can just glance across and verify that it's recording. -- The r5c has a timecode port! That's useful. -- Unlimited recording, rather than 30 minutes maximum, was a huge drawcard for me. -- Easier to match with C70 than an r6, because you've got WDR and log. -- Much easier and steadier for handheld shots than a C70, mainly because of weight and size, and this is a huge deal. In my particular setup/shooting style, that makes the r5c the go-to camera for bride/groom prep, for instance. -- If you want to use the RF 28-70 f/2 lens, which is a lens that almost seems designed for weddings, that's much more at home on the r5c than the C70, because of sensor size. Who knows when Canon will bring out a full frame C70 Mk II. -- I love using the r5c with the EF-RF adapter with drop-in ND and EF prime lenses. Easier to adjust exposure, and to make fine tweaks, than using aperture, ISO or shutter, and also doesn't have the image-changing effect that those options do. It was kind of an eye-opener for me when I started using it, how liberating it was. I've never tried using this adapter with the C70, because the Canon speedbooster tends to live permanently on my C70s, and they've got built-in ND anyway. -- One time when I do reach for the C70 is when I want the extra stop of light from the speedbooster, or just want a reliable camera to record non-stop. -- Which leads to one problem with the r5c that I haven't seen mentioned in reviews -- I'm not sure it's completely reliable, whereas my C70s have never let me down. Occasionally, my r5c has simply stopped. The image freezes on the LCD, and the switch to turn the camera on/off doesn't seem to turn it off! Solution in these cases has been to remove and then reinsert the battery, and then the camera gives you the option of recovering the last clip. But still -- heart attack moments. All that said, I personally wouldn't recommend this camera to wedding shooters if it's a choice between this and an a7s or whatever... I think you should only stick with the r5c, or the r5 or r6, if you're already invested in Canon. And the main reason is battery life and having to mess with power banks to get around that issue. For me, there is significant annoyance factor involved there. A second reason is that there are some wedding-valuable things that Sony seems to be better at or to implement better -- low light, image stabilisation, and also recording slow motion with sound.

    I have both of the version 2 lenses. I like the 28mm WCL. I don't use the TCL as much. Funny thing, in LR metadata it shows the 28 as 19mm. Go figure.

      Yea the WCL is awesome. Definitely more practical.

    • @LMGLUDA

      LR is right because the WCL is 19mm APSC, just like the X100 itself is 23mm APSC which translates to 35mm FF.

    This seem so cool. I love actual film. I do miss dropping off a roll of u developed film to get the pictures developed at the local drug store, walmart, or target and pick up the same day/next day or so. Now the undevloped film or 1 use cameras need to be mailed off to get developed and have to wait weeks to receive the pictures. I enjoyed the review.

    I am not a photographer I just didn't like phone's photos. So I bought a R50. I just want a prime lens and a zoom lens. Considering all this, should I go for RF STM or just ef lenses with adaptor? Will I be able to appreciate the benefits of RF?

    • @BCPCamerasTech
      @BCPCamerasTech 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you can acquire the rf lenses, I’d start to do so. Looked for good used deals on the rf lenses like the 50 1.8, 85 f2. Once you upgrade up form the R50, you’ll be really happy you have the rf lenses. I still think you’ll see the benefit with your current setup.

    Still really am torn between R and R6. I do street photography and really want to do night shoots and don’t prefer to use flashes. How is the R in low light situations compared to the R6? Thanks!

    • @BCPCamerasTech
      @BCPCamerasTech 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The R6 definitely has the edge but you can totally use the R. While the R6 was more capable of the camera, I preferred overall output and color that came from the R. I struggled with the R6 yellow tint from the sensor. Still don’t know if I had a bad camera or that’s the way it was supposed to be but it was a real pain.

    • @BCPCamerasTech
      @BCPCamerasTech ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sundersquare I have used them all for video but not the 85mm as much. Mainly because of the autofocus motor in the lens and the size of the lens. My go to for video is the 15-35 or the 70-200. I’ll utilize the 50mm for interview style video work too. With the type of work that i do, the focus is fine.
