First test ride on Harley Twin Cam 96 in a vintage snowmobile
That's awesome. Great idea. I see a movie trilogy coming. "Hells Angels on Ice: The forgotten years". "Hells Angels on Ice: Fighting Mounties and Frostbite" "Hells Angels on Ice: Sonny Bager, The Toeless Leader"
You must have figured out the Gearing .. Because HD's don't rev very high .. My 4 Stroke Yamaha turns 10,250 RPM .. it has a 20% reduction gear to the clutch .. At 998 CC's it makes about 160 HP and runs 116 MPH on GPS..
Wow That's Cool
I harley believe it..
That's what all snowmobiles should sound like. Perfect job!
A Harley powered Scorpion. No heating issues there would think.
Wow those honda groms are huge ,must be custom.
Hahaha
That's badass!
MMMMM Daddy likes!!!!!
Twist and go?
Speaking as someone who was around when Harley made sleds. This thing runs faster than any Harley sled did.
Is it for sale yet??
Why didn’t u put it in a Harley sled I’m confused doesn’t add up
😉
Excellent 🎉
Nice... But I would want the manual trans!
Nice bit of engineering, HOWEVER, it's never pas the dB test on the trail...
Fo...
Nobody gives a shit
Ugh what a waste of an awesome snowmobile....
Cool
That thing sounds absolutely amazing with a capital F
Sweet looking sled, outstanding engineering.
Yes the Idea is Excellent. Except it looks like an extremely HIGH CENTER of Gravity, Look like the engine could be mounted down inside and the 3" Belt could bring it up to the Clutches. A Standard Harley 3, 4, 5 or 6 Speed Transmission Would be interesting. Curious, How fast in the Snowmobile Land Speed Record? A Harley Transmission with the CV Clutches also. ....??? No? EeY?
I kind of think it's ride-ability was not as important as everyone being able to see the V- twin. Personally I like what he's got going on.
Most of the weight of a HD engine is in the steel crankshaft, flywheels, connecting rods, cams and cam gears, all in the bottom end. With the increased weight the center of of gravity is much lower than with the stock engine
Harleys where never known to handle good or be practical, build your own sounds like you could do it better lol
Wow! I am a fan of Scorpion snowmobiles and a lover of Harley's I have owned both!! And would love to own this awesome machine!! Great job!!!
Nicely done. I thought about doing this back in the early 80’s when I owned a 74 inch shovelhead.
I'll stick with my 2 stroke 440 Kawasaki
It's a killer.yea baby.T800Aust
Unreal!
Now all it needs is a chopped springer front end , a sissy bar and some drag pipes.
It sounds like an old WW2 fighter going by lol
Hmm could not tell much, you need a proper drag strip. If you want to see a Rocket 3, Thruxton R, Griso, Tiger 900, BMW r9t race each in the quarter on a drag strip my channel has a few showing the timing slips, angles from the cheap seats and from the motorcycle. If you need to feel good about your riding.😄😄
I feel good about my riding, but my Rocket III almost always looses to 1200 Thruxtons and BMWs. But not much longer !
@@billdee9622 That is probably accurate sir, but there is always a chance.
@@billdee9622 shouldn't
Get some!!
My Yamaha Attack with a 998 CC Motorcycle engine in it goes 116 MPG on GPS 129 on the Speedometer..
Righteous!
Nice 👍
Follow the trail of oil in the snow ❄️
thats how you find your way back home lol
@@tdwz1652 when your walking. Lol
Yup pretty slow.. 65mph??
FUN man!!🤙🏼
Nice
Still have a lot of throttle left .. lol. Could pull a mobile home with the damn thing !! Love it !!
What’s nice about the Harley engine if you don’t come back the search team can follow the oil trail.
I seen that sled at the scorpion homecoming in Crosby Minnesota!! Nice that you made a video. Sure wish Scorpion would have stuck around😎
Very very cool
sounds like a Harley goin by, great sound
I bet the Torque is the fun factor for this sled,a real nice professional job!!
sounds awesome! 👍 looks great too. the old scorpions rocked like a hurricane.
Does it keep the rider warm?
awesome bud love it
Amazing job grafting that motor in it!!
I love when a guy goes "i didnt want that so i BUILT my own transmission"
Awesome. And 88 mph is plenty fast enough. The guy is a visionary.
OUTTATIME
Sweet!!! Love that HD V Twin!
