Reduce Stress & Anxiety | Guided Physiological Sigh | Breath Technique
In this video, you will be guided through the powerful technique of “Physiological Sighs”-a simple yet effective breathing pattern consisting of two inhales followed by a slow, extended exhale. This natural mechanism helps regulate carbon dioxide levels in the body and is often observed during sleep. By practicing it consciously, you can quickly reduce anxiety, restore a sense of calm, and feel more grounded in the present moment.

How to Do the Physiological Sigh
1. Take a deep inhale through your nose.
2. Take a second, smaller inhale on top of the first. (This helps fully inflate the lungs.)
3. Hold your breath for about 4 seconds.
4. Slowly exhale through your mouth with full control, taking at least 10 seconds. (Let the air out gradually to maximize relaxation.)
5. Repeat 2-3 times or until you feel a sense of calm.
This simple yet powerful breathing technique quickly reduces stress, lowers anxiety, and helps restore a state of balance. Try it whenever you need to reset.
Compassion is at the heart of everything we do. We see a world where everyone has access to tools, techniques, and communities which can support them through life. We recognise the importance of physical, emotional, social and spiritual approaches which are unique to each individual in our world. Ultimately, we want the seed of compassion to flower throughout the lives of all.
