what the hell - started and ran first time !!! Most TVRs don't start after being sat overnight LOL. Mad Car not for introverts

I remember seeing this, as a youth in Max Power. This car needs saving. After all the abuse, IT'S STILL HERE. It's begging for someone to gut the interior, if it needs it, a new chassis, etc. Then get rid of the front and maybe do a more modern interpretation of the Cerbera. Obviously an engine rebuild and upgrade is necessary, maybe an engine swap to a big V8 or a decent v12. Make it a Monster again.

My dad had a TVR cerbra, he crashed it over taking a bus, he had just left the pub! He was going to let me drive it, but instead I got a phone call 😢

I have never driven a TVR no. I wish I had. I wish I owned one in fact. But my dad had a Triumph TR8 - with a 4 litre Rover V8, so I think that's preeeetty close. By the way, is that rear spoiler bolted to the chassis?

This car is the reason I bought Max Power magazine. I would never buy such a chav publication, but it had one of my favourite TVRs kitted out to look like my fav car at the time , the Speed 12 on the cover.

Bout to put some on my tundra but I’m going to smoke out the indicator since a tire smacked me on the highway and sent them off my cars black so the chrome signals throw off the car

they ask you if the 280i is a Triumph right? A TR7/8. I'm asking because my dad had several Triumphs through my childhood and younger years. Including a TR7 and TR8. The TR8 even had a TR8 sticker on the trunk, made in the TVR font.

The ECU diags can be of limited use at-idle and under no-load conditions - better to do a capture while actually driving. But for set-up when stationary you want to try and get the adaptives close to zero and have the throttle percentages the same across the two banks. If you’re getting a reasonably smooth idle at below 900rpm then that’s a very good sign that it’s firing on all cylinders. The adaptives were a bit positive (between 0 at 10%) which is ok, -5% to 0 is preferred (leaves the ECU plenty of room to enrich further, if required (+/-30% is the limit for short term fuel trim). Lambdas are switching which is good (narrow band lambdas offer little useful information, other than that switching means they’re doing their thing). Readings seemed fine, although engine may have been cold. I would read more about setup and then try and even up the throttles, but it won’t make too much difference anyway. Is it lumpy or does it kangaroo about around 2k rpm and then clears up by 3k? If not, then you’re setup is fine. Have you got the ball/socket link bar between the two throttle spindles or a rose-jointed one (preferred)?

I used to spend a lot of time in the US and joined the North American Club. Always enjoyed the 'Out of the Woodwork' event in Carlisle PA and the evening Banquet. A great bunch of people. I've had 6 TVR's over the years since my first in 1997 and still have the 2006 Tuscan Convertible I bought in 2009.

Looks like a locker key. Best engine sound I have heard in a long time and this is coming from someone who watches several car videos on TH-cam everyday. Maybe the original colour was the iridescent Chromaflair, that has a purple base which changes to a metallic blue when the light hits it.
