    This job is real deal hard labor!!! They gave me a route that was 9 hours set pay 155!!! 2 weeks I was done!! They do have easy routes u can be home in 5-6 hours but it’s rare to me this job not worth it unless they are paying 200 a day !!

      Sorry to hear that. I was a bit surprised to hear that they would be felony friendly with it being a job working for a federal agency.. even though it’s private contractors, the govt doesn’t give them that leeway.😔 Especially with delivering things like guns and ammunition. Now that they’re merging with Express everything is even more rigid because they have to uphold TSA standards😑

    Hey Alex, how are you. I really enjoyed your video and I'm sorry you've left FedEx. I applied for a FedEx delivery job in Fort Worth TX, on Indeed. Well, they called me and I spoke to my recruiter. Looks like he's giving me a shot. I did the background check online through First Advantage Corp. My recruiter sent me the email to do so. I have just been released from Federal Prison and currently reside in a Federal Halfway House. During my background check, I did specify this. I want to know if Bank Robbery with a note will disqualify me? I really want this job. I've had other delivery jobs in the past but it was back in 2013-2015. I've been in prison since and was released in June of 2024. Can you give me advice on anything that can potentially help with landing the job? They just now sent me my drug test email. Did you go through the same process? Hey, I know you must be busy so I just want to thank you in advance for any helpful tips on what to and what not to does. I appreciate it.

    Nice video. I've been a driver for 2 and a half years in Omaha, NE. Freedom is definitely the best part of the job. On average i make about 1000/week gross (more during peak) which is pretty decent in the midwest/low cost of living areas. I start as early as possible (usually 8-830), and most days I'm done by 2. The biggest downside for me is it can be easy to get burned out....one bad night of sleep can make the next day TERRIBLE.

    • @mutchler87
      @mutchler87 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds super similar to my past few FedEx jobs. Always averaged $1000/week during regular season and would pretty much always have a 6 hour day including the drive time to and from my route. Only difference was with my last 2 routes I had pick ups at 5 PM, so it didn’t make sense for me to come in until at least 10am at the earliest. Otherwise at the end of the day I’d just be sitting on my route waiting for a pickup to open. The nice thing was if I was going out of town or needed off early my manager would have someone else do a few of my pickups so I could be done by 2 and outta there🙏🏻

    Can you please explain HOW the contracting works

    • @mutchler87
      @mutchler87 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not really sure how in depth I can go because of character limit/lack of knowledge. But individual business owners buy Fedex contracts, and each contract has a specific amount of routes that are associated with that contract. They’re required to operate under certain guidelines and procedures, but they have a lot of freedom in the way that they pay their employees, what benefits they offer/choose to offer, etc. It essentially takes a lot of liability off of FedEx and allows small business owners to own a piece of a profitable business with taking some of the guess work out of starting their own business.

    Just found this, I work with a contractor in Knoxville, TN. I wish we had a facility like the one youre at. Our pkg handlers constantly misload, and are also overworked IMO doing like 4 trucks a person. Our routes are considered one of the heaviest for Knoxville. Also the manager of the facility is horrible. He is constantly pressured by corporate to be finished between 8 and 8:30am so that they can move on with some important stuff. (In case you dont know, ground and express are somewhat merging.) But most days we do not get out until 9:00am because either a truck was late, or the pkg facility workers are just too slow because the part timers dont get in until 5:00am. Which only gives them 3 hours to get finished. I think our facility should watch this video to see how a professional facility runs.

      I’ve worked at 5 different facilities over 7 years and management makes a HUGE difference. From facility manager to line managers, the difference is quite significant. I’d always suggest that an unloaded package was better than a misplaced package and encourage my loaders to leave my packages off the back until the end of sort.. you’ll find they get moments of craziness as well as moments of boredom so they’ll end up going back and loading those that were set aside. It’s never perfect but I always encouraged them and thanked them for doing such a good job loading my truck and it always got better and better. 🙏🏻🫶🏻

    What’s the average stop count for you guys? At Amazon we average 190 to 200 stops a day.

      It really depends on the individual route. My last route averaged about 160 during regular season and about 250 during peak. Whereas my route before that averaged closer to 180 regularly and 300-350 during peak.

      @@Schmidtycent it can be some days. But you also have to think, my route was the same size.. so instead of going into a neighborhood and delivering 10 stops you deliver 30.. sometimes you’re parked between 4 houses and delivering to all of them.. it’s more than double the stops but only maybe 15% more driving and 25% more steps.. one day I had 495 stops. That was a wild day but also very memorable. Felt like a war veteran after that day😅

      @@Schmidtycent that was average during peak. A lot of days on the 400’s. But I’d say 350 was pretty normal. Luckily I had a few apartments so there were days where I could do a 60+ stops an hour for a few hours to balance out the workflow and end the day at 50 stops an hour.. so I’d still only deliver for 8 hours, work for a total of 10, and make $500+.🙌🏻

      Thanks for getting that..🫶🏻😅 I wish I would’ve started making videos earlier but I then transitioned into a job where videos would’ve been quite boring. (Corporate sales job) but I’m starting a bus conversion followed by full time travel for at least a year here soon. Quitting my job the end of September and will start making videos somewhat often of the build and then the travel aspect.

    I think following 1000 to 8000 is also route dependent I’ve been a driver for 8 months and have finally recently got my own route because we go off seniority to get one and I’m only 4 days a week instead of 5 and you also build you’re way up to better easier routes with seniority. My route is slightly more challenging then others but I usually do 1000 to 3000 then I go to my 6000 7000 and 8000 and finish off with my 4000. It’s the best way for me and I’m the fastest my contractor even said he’ll move me to an easier route eventually but he likes me on it right now because I’m so fast and get done early everyday and can do 25 to a high of 30 stops an hour and never need help while other drivers who do my route struggle to do 18 stops an hour.

      @@lukedavenport8576 oh absolutely. When I first got several of my routes the order made no sense. Had to jump all over the place to prevent from driving in circles. I’d always re-zone my route to make it function best for me personally and it was always so nice to have it loaded the way I delivered it.🙏🏻 I’ve always sprinted my full route so my avg was 30 in Portland and Phoenix but in Las Vegas I had a great route and I could avg 50 stops per hour. Made the day FLY by!

      @@mutchler87 plenty of routes I can crack 30 stops an hour without trying my route just isn’t one of them because there harder and like I said it’s seniority so mines harder then others but it comes with its positives like an average day I have 160 to 180 stops most I’ve had so far was 196 while others have 200 plus on average and maybe 220s or so on busy days but the route is very compact I’m usually close to one of the first ones back everyday too despite having a harder route so hopefully I’ll get the easy one someday because you’ll make a lot if you have 200 stops a day on average on an easy route my contractor pays hourly or production so I usually milk the clock because I don’t have enough stops to justify production yet but some you can do 33 or so stops an hour without trying and production I believe is $1.10 a stop so that’s $36.30hr rate while active which is pretty good but I’m glad we’re a hybrid where I don’t have to pick because loaders take too long or you don’t have that many stops that week you can still make close to the same. We get paid $24hr. I’m only 21 so it’s pretty solid income and I work on average 35 to 36hrs a week on a 4 day schedule.
