Prepping The Honda S2000 for the Turbo!
This is such a wonderful video, very in depth and helpful!
I think i might attempt this. Top has been leaking from under the back glass, ugh. Pretty much all my rear interior has already been taken out to make room for a roll bar and that seems to be the longest part of the process.
Good luck! Hope it goes well!
I wanna thank you for your video the way you did replace the radiator on the Murano it's the correct way you could try the short cuts that people on other videos show but is not the proper way HOPE EVERYONE FOLLOWS YOUR VIDEO I ALMOST TRY DOING IT THE OTHER WAY BUT IT COULD OF DAMAGE THE NEW RADIATOR OR the evaporator Im a happy person tonight thanks to your post and is not as hard as it seems highly recommend it Again thanks
You're very welcome! I'm glad it helped and I am thankful for viewers like yourself!
Blessings
Can I get a part #
Bravo for making this video! The clear instructions, pointer icons, and diagrams are seriously a blessing. Thank you for your contribution to the community and for keeping the spirit alive.
Remember me.
Thanks for the detailed video
Is this cvt gear
Yes
The angles from the camera are sick! Amazing video bro
I take no credit for the footage, but I can agree it is amazing!
Why doesn’t this have more view? This is awesome . Very well put together video
15 hours? lol dang I’m going to need to grab a rental car so I can go to work while working on this
Haha, I think you'll finish sooner! It only took me so long because I was recording and did extra things
@@carismasocietyit took me 8 hours total with breaks. The only thing I want to mention is when I got done the top didn’t close all the way it was about two inches from closing. I read on a forum to force it close by hand because the new top needs about a week to stretch. It’s been a week and my top is working like OEM! Thanks man I really appreciate the video saved me 1200$
Mate, absolutely brilliant video. But I wonder, is the new top equipped with demister for the rear windscreen? Thank you!
I thought I answered! They sell them with it but I chose mine without it because I have a 2001
🙏🙏🙏🙏
I wonder if it was ever put back together? 😢
Last I heard was that it was sold off
How did you remove the clip any tips or special tools ?
Good O' flat head!
nice to see a review from someone who was born before 2000
Amazing video. I would have been lost without it. Got it done solo in 1 hour, turned out great with all of your tips!!! Thanks!!!
Glad I could help!
It only took you an hour? What in the world 😂😂
No way you did this in an hour dude hahaha
Amazing video. I would have been lost without it. It took me around 8 hours and was able to do it without a helper - it just takes patience. It turned out great with all of your tips. Thanks!!!
That's awesome! Glad the video was helpful.
Hi mate! Do you happen to know if this soft top comes with a rear windscreen demister? Thank you!
@alexisnaranjo7979 Mind did not, but because that was the option I chose. They have one with it!
@@carismasociety Cheers. Is it too complicated to unplug and plug the demister? Or is it a simple test before removing the old soft top? Thank you once again!
@@alexisnaranjo7979 it appears pretty simple, just an extra step of unplugging it from the glass and routing it through a small portion of the top
Great video. I'm not built for this. I'm a take it to a shop. Thanks for showing me how difficult this can be. It got dark on you bro 😅.
I took way too many breaks, haha
This looks intimidating ngl 😂😂 but I’m going to try it. I guess the key is to stay organized
Dealing with a 2011 Altima with 170,000 MI. Will not go over 80 miles an hour.. but drives pretty normal for local in town driving.. but trying to merge fast and go faster than 80 is not possible.. what exactly is the safe mode? Only goes 40 mph? Or just reduced power altogether? I did do a transmission fluid flush but have not done the filters yet..
Safe mode is just a protective measure the car takes to avoid further damage.
Solved! ....the downstream cat that was clogged. I've also heard from other mechanics that have had rusted out clogged mufflers. 2011 altima 2.5 back to normal now. The exhaust manifold got replaced also but turned out the main issue in my situation was the mid catalyst.
Thanks for the support
Thanks making this video.. That will be my winter project.
Thank for the video... Man took me 3 days and 2 days in the sun to fully close the soft top... The most difficult for me was lining up the metal retainer with the rain rails
dude your a life saver
Amazing video. Exactly what every mechanical tutorial video should be. Great camera setups, just the right amount of guidance (no ranting) and you actually went step by step and showed putting it back together. Thanks a ton man!
What is the install time (roughly?)
Nevermind, you answered in the video. Thanks for that. Great video.
I was able to do it in 8 hours, including a little time to clean all of the panels and carpet while out. A cordless drill with proper bits and sockets helped a lot, along with a trim removal tool, sort of like a 2 pronged fork. eBay $370 top.
@@tschuette1442 good to know. Using a tutorial like this makes me think it might go a little faster thanks to the OP. How do you like your new top? $370 sounds much better than $1000 like I have been seeing, but if it takes 8 hours I'm not sure I want to do it twice if the top doesn't fit as well.
@@0456giliolm Love my eBay $370 top. Made in USA, all holes fit perfect, way better than expected and has a glass window. 10/10.
Saldana!!!!
Yoo!
2 cool
thank you guys for actually showing real life mistakes so we dobt have to . got my subscription for that.
Appreciate you!
Great video 👌🏾 looks like a pain to doo
It was!
So what’s a “CS6”?
I just now caught that 🤣
Great video and yours is the best one at explaining the removal of all the bolts and clips involved. I have a 2011 murano and the layout is exactly the same, this will be my first attempt at changing a radiator. So all together I will need a 10mm and a 13mm socket ,long nose pliers a drain pan, some coolant. was there a risk of losing any ac charge with removing any of the bolts attached to the condenser? I guess removing then battery made it easier to remove trans lines as well. thanks!
I personally don't recall having to fill up the a/c afterwards
@@carismasociety I forgot to ask .did you do a pressure test on the rad before determining that the leak was in fact not coming from somewhere else such as a hose or even the plastic drain bolt on the bottom? thanks.
I didn't. The radiator was dripping, so that was the only diagnostic I needed
How much would a mechanic or you guys charge for that job? Great video guys!
I believe a mechanic would charge well over $600.. as an individual, I would charge $400, including parts.
hey man just a heads up , the bar closest to the rear window should be exposed not hidden by the flap and should rivet the rain rail to the top instead of just putting it through the studs
Thank you for the feedback! Per the Robins' top instructions, it states to rivet to the 2nd and 3rd bar and to mount to the stud by the rain guard. You're right about the exposed 3rd bar! I'll add corrections in the description when i get a chance. Thank you once again!!
Respect, you learn by necessity, thank you I gotta line I need to change this weekend!
VERY WELL DONE.
Thank you!
I can’t understand you guys most of the time , Like “ wtf did he say?”
It's been a learning process, but we finally have quality mics
Nice Job!
Thank you!
you can put the belt on from the top
your phone dies in the same point removing and installing . bs
No worries! Just got a camera with battery packs!
The music gotta go but thx for the tutorial
There's always a complaint about music because everyone has a different taste. It's impossible to avoid, but you're welcome🙏🏼
@@carismasociety its also how you turned it on and off during voiceovers. Plus that music belongs in dental offices not a video on honda s2000 soft tops 😂
I thought I'd try something different this time 🤣 still figuring out what works best!
Was hoping this video was going to make the task somehow look less miserable but nope, still looks like a complete PITA.
It was a nightmare the first day!
Great video, very thorough!
Burgandy
Nice work!
Start to finish hold long did this take you (not vacuum and charging system just compressor)
It took my about 6 hours with no tutorial and first time doing this.
Do you suggest using rtv in the 4 corners
I would now
So this wouldn’t work on a 07?
It should
