    RV6 rear sway is what’s giving you that oversteer. It’s the stiffest bar on the market and even at full soft, it’s equal to the Whiteline bar at full stiff. If you’re unable to get used to the oversteer, I’d try full soft on the sway bar, drop rear tire PSI, and make sure the rear tires are warm before going full send. Hopefully that helps!

      @@mowjinkaljibal High speed understeer will be aero balance. I would adjust low speed mechanical grip first and see how your high speed balance is impacted, and then play with your aero (wing AOA) at the track to fine tune your high speed. My wing AOA was pretty much at a negative angle at one point because I didn't have enough front aero since that's limited by class rules.

    good video. I'm actually against any "blankets" for cooling purposes. Yes you can actually feel it work in the engine bay. But anything involving thermoregulation to cool involves Heat to Air rather than insulation. Since the Turbo is connected with the overall system, insulating this part although might protect it from heat radiating out of it, but it is also blocking air flow to radiate out of it.

    • @mowjinkaljibal
      @mowjinkaljibal ปีที่แล้ว

      I was initially against it, but there are empirical tests that show it actually increases turbo efficiency and reduces engine bay heat soak. But I agree that it must affect turbo longevity. If you look at modern turbo diesel engine designs (and diesel generates a lot of heat), they use hard-lagged insulation strategically placed on the turbo and other parts. There are insulations to keep the heat from transferring out (turbo shield) and insulations to protect the part or its content from transferring heat in (water pipe shield).

    • @LoveLikeaHurricane
      @LoveLikeaHurricane ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mowjinkaljibal a shield would be different. In fact, I have seen early on at the civicx forums when someone tried the turbo blanket, and removed the oem heat shield. They had data on IAT and it was reading high. He decided to find a way to mount the OEM heat shield back and the IAT returned to normal. Which led me down a road of understanding that venting is important, but you need a separation as well to keep other components from absorbing. Heat shield accomplishes both by giving space to vent and shielding other components. Reason why engine bay heat is hotter with shield is because the heat has to go somewhere, as opposed to a blanket which most of that energy is kept within and can only radiate out of the radiator (over heat energy of the system without oil cooler). I have seen only a few people accomplish heat regulation of the type R. Some involved the twin Coolers from Hong Kong. Another is from Fatherpain on CivicX There is another guy right now I’m observing utilizing twin radiators. Using CR track, and another radiator in front of it (where front mount oil coolers would be, but instead be a coolant radiator)

    • @LoveLikeaHurricane
      @LoveLikeaHurricane ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mowjinkaljibal I'm hoping the 2nd radiator would have a big impact as when pared with vented hood, it makes the most continual surface area and the most available area to vent out of (compared to a high pressure zone of a wheel well like most oil cooler options)

    • @mowjinkaljibal
      @mowjinkaljibal ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LoveLikeaHurricane Ultimately it will need both oil coolers and aux radiators, may be multiple of them. Latest reports from the FL5 indicate it has as much of an overheating problem as the FK8. After dumping $$$$ on cooling mods, and not seeing the problem fundamentally solved (will be demonstrated in part II of this video), I'm not surprised that Honda didn't solve much of the problem with the small cooling mods of the FL5. The FK8/FL5 platform needs radical redesign, like the v-mounted setup of the TCR (not street legal without a crash bar).

      @@mowjinkaljibal Well, that's good. At least the oversteer is driver-mod related. At the understeer can be managed by the driver paying a little attention to the tire limit, until you're able to upgrade the car to carry more speed.
