@@JoshNieman-b9o I had a code for low fuel rail pressure and swapped the LP pump from the old engine and it was still saying it. I could hear the tank pump kicking on. In the diesel world the relief valves control the world, so I figured it has to be similar. Sure enough it was it.

@@megabuster-gm6bf don’t worry the PCV valve chokes the whole top end with oil vapor if anything it’s going to clean carbon off the top end and I only use it long enough to get something that’s dead outside inside on the bay lift

As you suggested the baring in the CV axle shaft was wobbly, likely leading to the output seal breaking, causing the leak. I planned on replacing the CV axle shaft based on this video, and it ended up being correct. I was able to pound out the old cv axle shaft without taking off the bracket, but it did damage the old cv shaft. If I wasn't replacing it, I would've taken out the bracket instead, to get it out without damage. The most most difficult part was definitely getting the engine mount off because of the bolt locations, and the exhaust with getting those bolts off. Had no choice but to take manifold off to get to some of the bolts. As you also suggested in the video, very helpful.

@ i’m very glad that you found the issues and that this video is helpful. I bet doing this on the ground was a total pain in the ass. I could not imagine doing it on the ground. I have my own mechanic shop so I’m pretty spoiled when I ever get the opportunity to work on my own equipment that is best of luck to you, sir.

@@mechanicdave4899 I was also able to use a lift for this job. Made it much more manageable, I would be nervous to attempt this without a lift, would be really difficult.

@@GandalfTheGreyt3791 luckily the timing belt controls the water pump on this model and I forgot about that so all it did was kill the battery. The belt was there, but it wasn’t tight enough to actually turn the alternator. Sorry that you had to spend the night on the side of the road.

@@camthegamer6279 yeah the little box on the side where the shaft that goes through it on the side of the transmission. Sometimes the linkage needs adjusting too.

@@matthewperry1428 I hate TH-cam shorts because they only give you like 15 seconds lol I was trying to say that if you’re doing this with a scan tool, you could see live and see what cylinder is misfiring and then with this trick, you can find out whether or not, it’s a cylinder head issue on that particular cylinder that’s misfiring

@@kylecampbell9255 have a big bad scanner that lets me know if it’s a injector issue plus I played musical coils and musical spark plugs and the problem did not migrate. I know it’s Cylinder Head. I do this for a living so it’s just a little trick to teach people that don’t have all the specialty tools.

@@smorphis92 agreed, I just like to show a couple things that everybody has in their house or in their pocket to do a little test if they happen to be somewhere in a bind, not everyone’s gonna be able to go out and buy a bunch of equipment to do work and stuff like that, but it’ll let you know if you’re gonna be in over your head or if it’s something you can fix an AutoZone parking lot
