People have only just realised what Bulgaria has to offer, great cities, great scenery & lots of good value things to do. I say Plovdiv is the best because we are so fortunate and live here. Come & get a taste of it and you won’t want to leave.

This is a really good behind-the-scenes video before a parade event, but I would have liked to see at least part of the parade itself if videoing was allowed.

This must have been one of the first Surva festivals held just before the pandemic was declared over. A joyous occasion! Cultures all over the world have used masks and sound-makers such as bells to drive away evil spirits. A festival that features masks, as Surva does, must be unique. The variety of masking styles shown here is wonderful and mindblowing!
