That isn't a mistake, That's neglect! I think there's a contractor/ builder that needs their license revoked!
Smoke crack lying down got it
Look at the quality insulation job too. That house will leak like a window is open.
To say the webbing between the members dont really provide any structural support makes no sense. So the structural support is in the- what looks like 2x4’s laid sideways? No shot. It has to provide some structural support or the top and bottom members would not be working together when taking a load.
If I’m wrong please inform me. I just cant see how it would provide no structural support.
I wish someone like you, had of inspected my home! Whoever built this, knew nothing of the 6 foot rule for electrical outlets! 2 toilets, no ventilation, no outlets!
I hate watching videos and when you get to the end, they show you a millisecond of what they’re talking about 😤
Your really cute.
Just add 1x3
How much would that cost?
I love cracks on a thick brunette woman 😂
Why in the begeezus aren't you building brick and mortar ? Like WTF ? And you wonder why tornadoes obliterate houses in the US. Holy house building inspection.
I see a problem with all of it. Particle board, it should never have been invented much less used to build a house. I'd rather have a hut made from clay.
EMJ corporation next
dope nook!
Bet the GC wanted a change order to box that in and seal it properly. Architect said "F U".
The one I'm building has a trap door in the entrance hallway and stair to the basement. Saves valuable space in the 24x28 layout.
Do you have a link, title, or date of that video? I’m interested in learning about which cracks are good and which are bad. I’m assuming all the ones in this video are not good
Wait, what?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You would be better off buying a quality manufactured home these day's.
Before they are finished is the only way you can see what you really have. After everything is covered up you will never know until you start having issues. If you are having a house built keep coming by and checking the work or have someone who knows how do if for you.
Handsome
Not impressed with any construction over the last 25 years. Seems Houses are designed and built thinking that nothing will go wrong with the house for 25 years. But that's just me. Cause I don't see the cost of a house being 250K. Or how a house that was built in 1968 and cost NEW 20K is now worth 190K magically
Differential settlement. Bad mojo.
They never insulate the sill plates it’s extra charge to the buyer!
You might want to add just how crp Dry Wall actually is and that their new house won't last longer than 70 years (in the UK), 30 - 50 Years in the US (because of the weather). I've worked in recycling center for a couple of years Stacking that crp for 8 months straight, not knowing that I am allergic to that crp; my feet and legs are 100% and permanently scrwd.
That will only grow with time until the issue outside of the wall is remediated. Likely water problem.
I have no idea why that pex plastic pipe is OK. The day will come when they figure out that the plastic is leaching into the water.
No insulation before drywall.
No noggins?
I wish more people would put more thought into the use and let people maintain 💯 in the future
Eh those are tiny. The cracks that went up the wall of the school after the elevator was added, now those were impressive.
why the hell are all the outside walls 2x4?
About halfway through the video you show a hole that looks like it is the whole height of the web height. Typically you can go no more than 1/3 to a half of the web height for any cut outs. And that is definitely more than half of the web height. And the webbing in between is typically what gives you the strength of the joist. The small two by twos on the top and the bottom are not what gives the i-joist the strength. So that I-joist definitely looks like it is compromised.
Hey, your shirts inside out.
dang I WAS HOPING YOU WERE GOING TO CONECT IT
Ok this guy is a joke and 90 percent of the people commenting wouldn’t make it in NY. wtf are you people talking about? All of this is shotty as hell. The joist is a TJI and you can make a hole that big in it, but you can’t have a 3” hole right next to it like that wtf. People are saying 4” pvc, it’s not its 3” and a 3” hub will never fit in 2x4. Also not the biggest deal in the world for the inside wall, the sheet rock can always be scribed. Wow!!! Wft
I can go on and on lol
Eh. As long as next owner doesn’t notice, you’re fine.
I'm a journeyman Electrician in Florida and have always found inspection enjoyable. How would you suggest someone get into your line of work?
OMG 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just replaced ours in a 1977 kit home pulled the dryer plug to fix the wall and it burned the wire in half because someone put the romex connector in the box and it cut the wire and the breaker never tripped!
Whats the greenish spray on the base?
Boracare termite pretreatment
I'd love to see all the color in a KB Home inspection you'd do!
i swear builders know this shit, why not just do it right the first time, you know youll get pulled back to fix it.
No bedroom should ever be near the front door. Lol
That crawl space stairwell is ratchet. Why not make that nice smh 🤦♀️
Hold up! Highest quality??? Using GLIT (glue &shit) plywood roof decking is NOT QUALITY! It's complete crap!
All that effort but saved 16" of wall instead of having a basement? I wouldn't kiss them.
Would a house in America pay a higher tax, if it had a full height basement, compared to just a crawl space?
So it was a full size door in the entryway? How hard was that to find?
Literally every house I’ve ever seen built in the 70s or later with a crawl space, the access was in the floor of a coat or clothes closet 🤷🏻♂️
