Here is a behind the scenes experience of the WA Mack Muster.
From the 8 hour roadtrip from the mine site to the venue, the sponsors dinner, set up, show day then pack down I tried to capture it all.
This was a really incredible event and I feel so lucky to have been able to attend. I love forward to attending again in the future.

Adelaide 500 with Red Bull

In November I had the opportunity to attend the Adelaide 500 with Redbull. Here is a raw POV of my experience behind the scenes and trackside. I got to look inside the Redbull Ampol transporter, get up close to the cars and even go on pit straight. I kept having to pinch myself as I never thought I’d get this opportunity. I hope this video makes you feel like you were there with me too.

Here is some rare footage from within a fuel terminal showing how drivers load their trailers with petrol and diesel. Thank you to the terminal for approving and supplying this footage so I can help share more insights into our industry.

You aren't making me jealous! I got to experience the 2014 NRMA Motoring & Services Sydney 500 as a guest of Falken Tyres Australia. Hot lap with Scott McLaughlin, course car ride with Dick Johnson, grid walks and corporate suite access for the entire weekend... was the best weekend ever!
Very cool. Will have to try and attend an Aussie truck show one year, see what the differences are from the trucks in Europe.
Can i say one thing.. stop saying 'driver' by eveything you say... you are an 'OPERATOR'

I went to the show on Sunday. Again very well presented and organised. The biggest one so far. I build model trucks as a hobby, plenty of inspiration there. Lol Great video, well done.

I love the humble confidence you have. My oldest stepson is 27 and shows this kind of self belief. He's in FIFO atm. The youngest daughter at 21 off to Europe. Something stirs in me to see young ones thriving. Thanks for recording your thoughts and goals. You never know who might be inspired.

I didn’t know about it until recently myself. It was a truly amazing event. Couldn’t believe how well it was run! You’re living in a beautiful spot now. Hopefully I can find some local shows for us to check out this year :) take care and thanks for the feedback
What a great video. I've been in WA all my life, that's 67 years and never knew they had big truck musters like this. Heck, I would have gone if I had of known. Well done on such a great video CJ. Can't wait to see some of your work truck and how you are getting on with the work in our big state.

@@TRUCKINGWITHCJ Well, I am subscribed to many dozens of sailing youtube channels with many of them pretty slick operators and I have to say that the quality of your work is up there with the best of them so keep going. I am also subscribed to a few trucking ones, including that Polish girl Iwona or Trucking Girl she calls herself. I have been intrigued as to how she found her way around the industry and actually did the work, so that got me in. Makes no difference what sex you are. If you can do the work and you want to do it, then you should give it a crack. I remember when I went for my semi license a long time ago, it showed me that the hardest trailer to reverse was my 6x4 box trailer. Bloody things have a mind of their own. I only drove trucks for about 7 years and they were much smaller than what you drive. One other thing. Your drone footage is really good too, so capitalise on that also. Can't want to see what you come up with next. Well done!

I drove an older FH16 460 recovered with a 600 cumulonimbus & by christ it pulled harder than a ...well you know , anyways untold torque made for a very easy drive , very real feel under the slippers , eyes up & keep the rubber side down ..out !.

Wow almost 5 months of content in one jam packed episode. So many things to respond to, but the easier comment is just come on down here to Victoria and tow a single. A lot less hassle and you can get into more places ha ha. Nice one I’m glad the move worked out well

you can go drive truck in WA up in the Pilbara and cleared $100k+, if you smart, you can can do it for 5 years and save more than 100k+ per year. you can retire as early as 50 or even earlier depend on your financial circumstances.

So what truck do you drive with Merkanooka? The Moth? All those exercises you have to do for the medical is all BS its not related to truck driving. Do you Fifo from SA to Morawa? or where in the mine site for Merkanooka?
This was all about me thinking of changing jobs to go to Merkanooka. I started recording in November and then ended up starting with them in the January :)
I’ve driven the Moth but it’s not ‘my’ truck. The main driver for that is kiwi :) I’m jumping around the different sites at the moment just gaining as much experience as I can. Yeah I’m fifo from Adelaide to WA

I've driven over a dozen transmission combinations with 3 sticks even but I'd probably be the laughing stock trying to shift with my left hand driving on the right side of the cab lol. I drove a mini truck from Japan once with right hand drive and a 5 spd and that was quite the experience. My passenger had a good laugh.
