This is my little street / track V6 Milano / 75 that I was running for about 3-4 years (while completing the 3.7 full-race build)! It also runs a full RSRacing suspension from Ron Simons, but the street/track Group 2 / GiroDisc brakes front and rear and a built 4.11:1 transaxle with lightened gears, race clutch and 4-disc LSD. The car was decommissioned 18 months ago to pull the stock 3.0 12 va...
Glenwood Motors 3.45 Litre 24v Alfa Romeo 164 LS (Super)

It's GOOD to have this baby back on the road again! (I also converted this car from automatic to manual - and with it - retrofitted a 6-speed manual transmission from a 156 GTA into it! What an AMAZING and effortless car to drive - it feels 500 kilos lighter!!!) I still have to eliminate the restrictive flapper-crapper (AFM) air-flow meter, or convert it to a MAS-type hot-wire pass-through tube...

We were mainly working on some low and mid-range drive-ability mapping of the GoTech Pro-X fully-programmable, stand-alone engine management system! Here's one run though where we did take her up to about 7K rpm for now to look at the AFRs higher up. We did see nmbers here already well-north of 300 horses at the wheels - even before 7K rpm!

Coil-pack issues a bit more sorted, this is the 2nd firing of the 2nd US-based 3.7 liter Glenwood Motors 156-based 24 valve V6 engine (the one in my personal 1987/88 US-version Alfa Romeo Milano / 75 race car), in progress at Group 2 Motorsports in Seattle, Washington! 12:1 Compression, solid lifters, GoTech Pro-X fully-programmable stand-alone engine management system, forged steel c'molly rod...
Alfa 75 con motore 3.7 v6
Hi I have just fitted a Gotech Pro x to my 3.2 24 Busso v6, would you have the air/fuel ratio readings
Hey, are you still working on the Alfa> I have a 1987 75 only owner since new, Get in touch if you can.
Ovo je Alfa Romeo 75, a ne 156!?
Hi! Did that 24 steering pump work for you in the car? Eager to use it myself instead on the heavy bulky 12v pump.
wow sounds crazy! What is the setup? Is it NA with 425hp?
“Nah, it’s not f..* work!” -wrooom wrooooommmmm !!!! 😆
Back in '86 I had a '72 Skylark convertible. I was cruising with a friend and a silver Milano came racing up beside me. I gave him a good run but I wasn't serious about racing my beautiful car. We smiled and waved at each other and he passed me. I've had a lot of respect for the Milano since that moment. I think if that strange upkick at the rear weren't so pronounced, they may have sold more. If I had money, I'd love to have a Milano 3.0.
Saffer boertjie with an american accent bahahahaha
So many questions! Please post the build somewhere :D
What body kit is on the car?
What is the size of the bore?
Alfa Romeo all the engines are noisy, why is that?
That whas nice XD
looks nice!
nice work,, but i cant understand to change the 'specials' of the 75 - like the gearbox on the backside, incl. the De-Dion axle - ! I know there are some things to do, because of the high revving mass between motor and gearbox. I loose weight at the 1st flywheel from 13.5 kg to 5.5 kg and the 2nd at the clutch-flywheel. After this, the revvs are quicker up and down, just like with a front gearbox, so it's also possible to chance gears much faster.
XX nü XX because the transaxle would not be able to take any abuse with this amount of power without blowing
how much torque ? because the Kardan with hardy looks like stock, i thought the Kardan might be the weak part - not the gearbox and what kind of axle instead?
Jhjvr, sorry to bother, I'm doing a 3L 24v swap on my Milano and I some questions to ask you if possible. Thanks
more videos, pls! :)
Love how it sounds! my friends at Alfa Import Center have that motor, yes bore out and built in S.A. hope to track test one day :)
Im sure without Regs. you can get waaay more power than 425hp...
Dear Jhjvr's, it's possible to buy a kit throttle body for engine Alfa 24v? Thanks a lot Regards Eraldo
Yes AHM motorsports in the UK and Jenvy has a kit for the 24v, its expensive though :)
man, what do you use the rear axle?
XD hit the button.. hit the button "!......hit the butt----
how did you convert it from 3.0-3.45 liter? does the gearbox fit right in ?
that part of the gearbox moving, its gonna stay open like that? its pretty cool but a bit dangerous. love the sound and all in that car got to love the 75.
is this a bored and stroked 2.7? or is 3.0 24valve block?
Have you been able to get it running with the orignal 6 alfa bosch coils ?
Nice Alfa!! My father had a gtv6 2.5, it's basically the same engine. But this car has a bigger engine. As I can see and you said, it has a different gearbox, not the rear mounted transaxle. It has a beautiful body kit and paintjob. What a wonderful job done to this car!
This is Milano Version great version...
Owning an Alfa Verde I have debated to go all out on my car as well. I do like the body trim and the Glenwood engine. What does the total cost of this car come to? Living in North America the availability of parts has always pissed me off. My other question the 3.7 engine can it not be duplicated locally? Maybe a 3.5 with a turbo?
witch engine is this?
Civics and Integras ain't got shit on an Alfa.
If someone needs an 75 Bodykit then contact me
My sweet jesus, I'm getting a 75, that's it
who wants a supra this is hardcore
Nice to see there's some appreciation for fine Italian cars in the US! Great 75! Cheers from Italia!!
Is this one of the South African Glenwood Alfa build motors? Sure sounds like it. Those guys managed to squeeze close to 400 HP out of a 12 valve motor in the early 90's. I would love to know what this beast is capable of :-) Sounds awesome!!
you can compare those mainstream pieces of crap with a unique car like this, this is an alfa romeo it has history
That sounds powerfull!! Beatiful 75, what are the specs for that engine btw?
You know that noise puppies make when you take them away from the bitches teats?
@jhjvr Sounds very healthy. Any pictures of the build somewhere? What was done on the heads, spec on cams?, and the headers/exhaust?
Great bike. Is it a RD500 ?
Your car is so beautiful..beautiful color,engine..
I LOVE IT great (from italy)
what do you charge for one of these motors?
Where do you have bought the body kit "IMSA" style if It isn't a your artigianal creation? ... good job sir! Saluti da Italia !
@amcx9950 try this site: shop.alfisti.net it's a german site with a link to an english translation. i used to have a 145 and i bought all my stuff (including a high quality body kit) from that site, and come to think of it, i believe there is an evoluzione kit there as well. let me know if this was any help okay? (if you don't have 1 allready since your message was posted 6 months ago...) Greetz Robin
