@@jacquelinepowell7257 Good question, we met our tour bus at 9:15 am. It’s about 1 1/2 hours to Florence from Livorno. We got about 3 hours in Florence. Then drove on to Pisa where we had about an hour. We got back to the ship about an hour before all aboard. If you want as much to explore Florence and don’t care about going to Pisa there were excursion options that gave about 5 hours in Florence and skipped Pisa. Hope this helps! 😁🚢

Yes, when in Spanish and Italian territorial waters you will pay the VAT tax on any beverages you get even with the free at sea drink package. But, the free drinks are $15 or less so, it will be $3.25 or less per drink. They just charge your key card and it goes on your onboard account. That being said, it only added up to less than $50 per couple. Once the ship gets out into international waters there’s no VAT tax. We just drank when we wanted and didn’t worry too much. I have heard of people getting extra drinks like wine while in international waters. They save it in a thermos style water bottle in their room for when in port.

@@MerryVaughn58 We actually stayed on the ship in Cagliari. We had planned on going to the beach and it does look fairly close and easy to get to. But we were exhausted from running for multiple days and enjoyed the ship that day. We did go to the beach in Ibiza. It was actually really easy. We went to Talamanca Beach. It was beautiful and I highly recommend. But if you want an umbrella and chairs, you should call and reserve them ahead of time. They were sold out by the time we got there. We just walked out of the port to the taxi stand. It was a five minute walk. And the taxi was rather affordable. When we were ready to leave the beach, we just waited for a taxi to come by. It took maybe 10 minutes before one came and got us. Hope this helps! 😁🚢

Oh, you’re going to have a great time. Cinque Terre is near Tuscany on the coast. Our trip was for Pepper’s birthday and he really wanted to go there. It was about the same distance from Livorno as Florence. We had an overnight in Livorno so we went to Florence and Pisa on the second day. Tune in this Sunday to see that trip😁 As for Cinque Terre, we took the train to La Spazia then on to Cinque Terre. We wish we’d left a little earlier but it was completely do-able. But, I will say, you’re locked in a harness to catch you in case you fall. So, you might watch a couple people do it in real life and assess. Thank you for sharing and bringing back lovely memories for us. We were there in 2022 but since our ship docked in La Specia, we took a ferry which was very convenient. We also visited the '6th Cinque Terre village 😂' i.e Portovenere which was really lovely and we were the only tourists there ❤

It’s super easy! Cannes is a tender port so, get your tender tickets as soon as possible for an early tender. Then as you walk out of the port (there’s only one way out) you’ll see a sign directing you to the right and down the main street that follows the waterfront. It’s about a 10 minute walk. Make sure to bring Euros it is cash only. 😁🚢🚋

Great question!! We recommend doing Parc Guell 1st thing. All 3 sites require tickets. First one of the day at Parc Guell is 9:30 am. Make sure to take a taxi to the Cartera de Carmel entrance. Otherwise, you have to walk up a giant hill before you can see anything in the park. We spent about 2-2 1/2 hours there. We had enough time to grab a taxi at the stand a block or so outside the main entrance. We got to Le Bouqueria about noon. We walked from there to Casa Batllo for our 2 pm tickets. We did the gold package and got to see the whole house. We spent a little over an hour to 1 1/2 hours there. We took a taxi from there to La Sagrada Familia. We had time for Tapas across from La Sagrada Familia but, you would have time to get a snack and relax anywhere between the two sites. We then had skip the line tickets for La Sagrada Familia at 5:00 pm. This was one of the last times of the day. If you go in the afternoon the passion of the Christ side will be lit up by the sun. It will be mostly red and orange light. The nativity side is lit up in the morning all blue and green. But, I would worry about crowds at the park if I tried to reverse the order of our day. We spent about an hour to 1 1/2 at La Sagrada Familia too. So, each landmark we spent about 1 1/2 hours except the park where we spent 2 hours. 😁

@@shelleyburnette5071 we watched it on our phones before we went. They sent us an email. Then we just had to check in at our muster station. We did it as we were walking on the ship. That was all we had to do. Very different from our first cruise where we had to go sit at our station and watch a demo in person. They make it so easy these days.

Better yet, I have also bought small spray bottles from Amazon and got the concentrate from there. You just mix it with distilled water to get the concentration you need. Ex: hand sanitizer should be 150 ppm, concentrate is 525 ppm. So, to make 1L of solution I mix 285 mL with 715 mL of distilled water. And, I have the hand sanitizer I want. I do it like this so I can make any of the concentrations from the one bottle. This sanitizer is good for everything from wound care to general surface sanitation. They announce when you can sign up for your tender time. For us, it was our first stop so we could get our time as soon as we embarked. The sooner you sign up the earlier you will be able to get off the ship that day. 😁 Now, if you have an excursion through NCL, you automatically get tender priority. And, your excursion ticket is your tender ticket too. Hope this helps!! 😁🚢

@@nodentures4u We are not sponsored in anyway. It took us about 25 minutes to get on the shuttle bus to town. Then it was maybe 15-20 minutes into Ketchikan. We had similar experience on the way back. We did do the Great American Lumberjack show through the cruise line so we got to catch the bus back right there. It was easy. We heard a lot of people complaining, but I felt they moved the sheer number of guests fairly efficiently. Also, if you’re in the Haven you get priority disembarkation and a designated shuttle with much shorter line. I think you will find it a non-issue if you’re prepared to maybe wait sometimes. @@ManuelHernandez-xt8pr Take Main st to Morro Bay state park. There are several trails depending on how long a hike you want. If you turn into Black Hill Golf course and head up the mountain there’s a parking lot toward the top. There are 2 great trails from there. One is short but fairly intense with the BEST views. It’s about 1/2 mile round trip. The other takes you on the city side of the mountain. It is accessed by going down the road just a short bit. If you want a longer hike, there are several trails starting from the campground area. We always parks at the marina and walk through the campground to the back. The all trails map is a great way to make sure you don’t get lost 😁 Happy hiking!!🥾

@@KayTee979 We loved Los Lobos!! Q Texas Smokehouse was mixed for us. Probably would’ve preferred the pulled pork. The sampler platter was too big. And, the chicken was dry and felt like filler to bulk up the number of meats on the sampler. But, that brownie!! It was amazing. But we also loved the cheesecake in Cagney’s. I think Cagney’s can be hit or miss. I didn’t love the crab cakes or lobster bisque. But my fillet was great. Carol said her fillet felt dry and overcooked. We just went back to Cagney’s last month on the Escape and she picked a different cut of steak and liked in much better. But, the nice thing about NCL is we feel like there’s a specialty restaurant for everyone. Thanks for sharing your experience!! 😁❤️

@@lutonia washing your hands is really the best way to stop the spread of disease. I absolutely hate the feel of alcohol based sanitizer but, the one I use is hypochlorous acid based and feels like just water. But, you’re doing great!!

I'm staying along moonstone beach.You should stay at the Castle Inn.That's where I'm staying.I can't wait to metal detect the beach and look for moonstones!Yes,I have my own metal detector! Also,you should do a video of The Grand Tradition restaurant and gardens in Fallbrook,CA.Reservations are required,though.
