OP's dad was most likely cheating on his wife before she died. Jane is his affair partner. No man or woman who really loved their spouse would move on that quickly after their passing. OP's mom probably knew about the affair and thats why she left everything to her child instead of her husband.

So sad I had a boyfriend who was something like this . He always wanted me to be with him. It seemed cute that he wanted me to spend so much time with him, he worked nights I had split shifts as a waitress at a family owned restaurant. It became to much when I would go out with my sister in law and female work friends. And him telling me that I didn't hear what he had said and I was making things up of what he had said to me. He was jealous of my brothers. After a stupid thing he did and yelling at his mom and step dad one night I had enough. That night I had to take him to the ER. And another morning where he was talking to me in a harsh tone he had me agenst a wall and punched the wall inches from my face. I realized if my family knew anything at the time they would of done something . So I brock up with him. My family was and still is the most important to me. I saw him once menny years later were he recognized me .I didn't recognize him until he called out to me a few times but told him I was going thru something and walked away. Haven't seen him since.

11:50 sounds like the husband is setting up for abusive behaviour, first thing they do when they get you is isolate you from those that could help to get you out, by making sure you're also involved in pushing them out of your life so that their anger and resentment is directed at the DA victim, and then when the most influential friend's and family are alienated, then it's the next one down... etc until there's no one left but him and his abuse...

The moment those 2 started to yell, i would've yelled at my loudest a shut up. Then try to make a more calm conversation. 'Cause god, those 2 seem like living hell.

I would've sent them a cease and desist letter and threaten legal action if they continue to harass us. I would collect evidence just to be on the safe side. Then get a restraining order and have security cameras installed as a back up plan
