According the fire department the fire burned over the top of the route 2 tunnel at Money Creek but your graphic shows the fire line quite a distance from that tunnel.

Thnx....I hope all of Grotto has left, but things are getting better as the fire burns on the other side of hiway 2. Gold Bar resident on a hill- mountains and the air is much clearer and no ash the last 2 days. I feel for the wildlife also.

Lovely mapping skills and an interesting perspective to show the entirety of the fire's perimeter. One suggestion would be to keep the names of the cities on the map in large enough font so as to be visible. 👍

On another note: I experience the Cerrio Grande Fire in May 2000 in which the "Forest Service" lite "A Controlled Burn and lose it" The Boss of the controlled burn crew was inexperienced in the regions of the mountain regions of New Mexico and ignored the weather forest of high winds and proceeded anyways. He waited to ask for help and losing control which ended up burning 435 families from their homes in Los Alamos...hint...they save the Labs. I condensed the above stories, but in conclusion, the Forest Service shipped the Boss out of New Mexico so he would face criminal trials. The residences (burn out) wanted to literally find a unburned tree and hang this jackass. Then FEMA move in " Insult to Injury" and the rest is history until the Forest Service has obviously found a other Boss winner I'm ignoring weather reports and history of those reports. The US Government should flip the coin for the entire expense of these fires. Lots a luck in that ever happening...

Heads are going to roll now that the USDA FS has admitted starting the fires.

Best video & map I've seen showing the full scale of the fires. ..... this weirds me out cause of how similar this fire is to the Northern California Fires from 2018-2019-2020. And accusations float of lasers from the sky igniting the fires. I've collected all those photos. There's also accusations smart meters caught fire and burned many homes as well.

That open space should of been better maintained by mowing or prescribe burn. Field was over grown, too much fuel. Overgrown landscaping around houses didn't help.
