Thank you for your analysis. I will say the percentage iof Etsy fees is lower on higher priced items. Mainly because of the fixed $.20 listing fee and $.30 transaction fee. 50 cent is a lot on a $2 printable not so much on a $20 tee. Even still digital products are higher profitability and less risk. Im using a PC and did the steps you have detailed above. I was going crazy why I dont find the glyphs in the character set. I tried putting the ttf instead of the otf and there's where I found the glyphs that you were talking about. I just wanted to share in case other had the same experience.

Such a good video! I started with digital, added POD, and now have removed almost all of my POD items because of so many... well, not horror stories, but annoyance stories about my experiences. It is so frustrating when people say they make six or seven figures in sales, but then you look at their profits and it's a pittance because POD costs are so high and competitive. Even for people who brag about having six or seven figures in profit, one trick many of them use is by not telling what time frame that's over. Making $500,000 in profit sounds amazing... until you realize they've had a shop since 2010, and so it's $35k in profit a year. That still sounds great to a lot of people until you realize that they had the boom years of the pandemic in there. If you ask them how much profit they made in 2023, it gets reeeaaaally quiet. If you ask them what their YoY growth looks like, they don't like to answer. It's such a good thing for you to show the real numbers on stuff like this! Great video!!

My questions are: 1) what made you choose this particular shop to analyze, and 2) have you analyzed more POD shops to see if this is truly representative?

Thank you for explaining what we tell our customers.
