1st Time eBiking & Using The GoPro Hero9 Black
Mucker & mucker hire eBikes for the first time. Just a quick ride home to start with before the Timber Trail. It's also camera test time with a new GoPro Hero9 Black. Too much goodness!
Hello you lot. This is an unplanned episode however I'm way too stoked not to share a couple of things with you. Mucker and I are doing the Timber Trail, tomorrow, for the 3rd time. However we thought we'd spare the sweat and exhaustion and hire eBikes. And to see what this eBike talk is all about. Oh my goodness, these things are awesome! Just riding them back from Torpedo 7 now. So much fun!
The other exciting update is that I've just bought the GoPro Hero9 Black; this was it's maiden camera test voyage. I'm so impressed! What you see isn't quite out of the box. I do tweak the colours and contrast a tiny bit as well as make some key setting changes. Up until now, pretty much all videos on this channel have been shot with the Hero5 Session. I love that camera so much however it is time to get into some new tech and raise the bar visual quality wise.
I'm very excited to be riding an eBike for pretty much the first time, and be playing with GoPro's latest offering. Enjoy our shortest but perhaps funnest ride yet, these eBikes are choice! Enjoy the new level of visual goodness. And if you haven't hit subscribe yet; you know you want to.

oooh he wint through the nick
Share the technique to put it in 1 min please! LOL
That’s cold it’s freezing in New Zealand
Nice and genuine review guys! Any chance to give a feedback for a long term? Thanks
Hey bro I was wondering if you could give me a tour I live in Taupo so can You please get back to me
Although most wetsuits are water tight when they are new, the question is how many sessions before that changes because it will let water in eventually. I just got an e7 E-Bomb 4/3 ltd edition and we'll see how it goes. Dry feels great, hard to get in but stretchy so doesn't restrict mvement. Great video thanks
You convince me ! Moreover your prez is so original and genuine !!
This is the best review for a wetsuit ever. It's real. Cheers from Cali.
First ride was Timber Trail on a hire ebike. Addicated.
Awesome vid dude!! Really enjoyed watching this, sub 👊 really wanna do this one day 🤞
#fixyourflop
Very awesome Video , has anyone done it on an E bike ?
Glad you liked it Matty B! I’m sure someone has. I’ve just received an e-bike so I may have to go do it again for you!
Looks awesome! Great video, Might go ride it tomorrow
Did you survive the ride, Tui?
You've summed up the ins and outs of zip free wetsuits very well. I have one of those on my shopping list for next winter. Great review.
Haha cool man glad you liked the deets. I still love that wetsuit man, has completely changed my winter surfing. Getting cold in the water just isn’t an issue anymore! Great investment.
I have the same one, they are so warm. Can't feel the water at all. They are so nice. Worth the money
Absolute gold. Makes winter surfing easy.
Are you going to do a hero 9 review? Keen to know what your thoughts are...
Yeah bro probably will do a review actually. Short answer for now is, I love it!
Cool, are you going to buy one? can you charge it via van?
th-cam.com/video/N9Hf-A8fCY8/w-d-xo.html
I'd like to buy one bro. Super fun. Yeah the van solar system would charge no problem!
3:38 😂 good work boysies!! Keen to try it.
Haha cheers mr t rev. Thought you'd like that part!
Great review buddy 👍👍
You look very professional on camera mr mucker.
Liking the ooh's, ahhh's , grunts, and heavy breathing - not to mention the occassional F***cks all of which give extra autheniticiy!! Great fun
Haha yes! Certainly very authentic alright. Plenty of sniffing too. Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the comments. 👍🤪
A huge effort boys👍
Epicness and ouch. Anyone want to do it again!!?
Coaster track looks life fun. A little less extreme than the other trials. I reckon I could handle that. Fist bump razzie avatar psi 25
Yeah bro reckon you'd fizz at the bung for coaster. We'd find you a bike 🚴 down here if you wanted to have a go. What does avatar mean in this context? Is this cool kid talk or travy cool talk?
🤯 That's amazing. There are people at Disneyland who film their roller-coaster rides on Go Pro's, but this is even more eye-popping because you've got no rails, padded restraints or discernible end in sight. Mad props to you and your friends, Raz! So many nail-biting moments. I found myself constantly tensing up and going, "Shiii - oh phew, he made it!" 😀
Haha cool feedback! That's a tame safe trail too; wait till we do some more extreme ones. You might not have any nails left. Thanks Links!
@@theadventuresofraz8706 😀 Cool! Will look forward to it. I also saw your great video of jandal fixing 101 - hope your puffy eye is feeling better. Of all possible places for the bee to sting, it had to go for the eye! That must have been horrible 😣
Eye is back to a full functioning non puffy state, thanks Links! 👍💪🎉
@@theadventuresofraz8706 Right on! 🐵
It's a long watch but uploading a long pretty technical downhill tonight. Other end of the spectrum from Coaster really. Was fun 🤪
Hmm... Still looks scary!. Your narrative was much better on this one... Crisp and upbeat. Well done!!
Cheers big daddy. Took a good half hour or more to get it without mistakes and sounding like that. Like they say in the industry, act over the top, to get it right. Something along those lines anyway. I had to speak super fast and over the top to get that final recorded copy sounding ok. I felt it had a John Campbell enunciation vibe on some of the sentence endings. Funny. Thanks for the positive feedback!
Yeah buddy
Yeah Buddy! Loving Willow’s emojis too.
What an epic ride dude, totally exhausting, well worth it though👍
Wow! This looks very intrepid - which is a flash way of saying bloody dangerous - specially those downhills sections at speed. All easy to say from the comfort of the couch of course. Looking forward to tomorrow!
Great ride, scenery looks amazing. Good footage Bo bo! Loved the slams 😂🤘 watching part 2 now
Yeah was epic bro. Haha some slams alright. Mine is coming up in Day 2. Goodness. Yeah good scenery bro; some great bird sounds too if you keep those ears peeled in Day 2. Much love brother T-rav.
@@theadventuresofraz8706 nice! Time to start getting some drone footage! Mush love 👽🍄
Definitely bro. Been visualising that. Know anything about them? Need one to chase me down the trail automatically; don’t know if they can do that.
@@theadventuresofraz8706 that'd be awesome. This might help: store.dji.com/guides/camera-drone-that-follows-you/
Master awaits...
An amazing character building mission!
Sure was. Interesting to see how knackered I was after all this time. Spoiler alert; my flight attempt is coming up in Day 2.
Inspirational, made me breathless with it's scope and concept. The detailed action was very amusing and authentically Kiwi DIY, This would be great in a DIY series so we never have to shop again! PS Don't forget to monetise it. Big Daddy
Hahaha. We’re here to spread informational nuggets to the masses. Kind words good sir.
Fun 👍🏻
So much fun playing with this bunch of monkeys! Thanks.
Thank you for this video... The Commençal Clash is a really good enduro mountain bike... And I speak from experience because I have a Clash Essential 2020... to see here : th-cam.com/video/pShxv4qrOkQ/w-d-xo.html Good ride to all...
That is so cool 🤩 Can't believe how perfectly the carpet job turned out, it looks so professional. Great to see that cabin fever's not getting to you 🙂
Thanks Links, yeah I'm pretty fussy when it comes to straight lines and getting things looking right. The carpet has been such a vanlife game changer. Feels like a home now and not a warehouse or garage. No fever here; always happy in my vanimal. Thanks for dropping a comment. Boom! 👊🧨
So good Razzo. Shame you had to move on but at least you had an awesome backup plan!
Yeah love time with my Taupo girls 👸👸😍
Wheres the engine go??
Engine!? That's these hulk-like thighs of mine. Brmmm brrrmmmoom.
You could trying heating the edge of the carpet, The glue should melt & seal it up... #projectlife
Cheers bro. It was your garage carpet that inspired that van addition. #vanlife #projects-r-us.
What is the diameter of your renthal bars ? 31 or 35? I’m buying 40 rise renthal bars but I can’t decide on the diameter to get. Some people are saying that the 35 diameter feels to stiff. Would love to know what diameter you have and your opinion on which ones I should get .
I'll check soon and let you know. I like them. Got the 40mm rise. I like the bike feeling a little bit FMX. Brrrmm brrrrmm. I'll get back to you soon.
The Adventures of Raz ok 👍
Hi. Sorry for the super delayed response. 31mm diameter where the head set clamps the bars. 40mm rise. About 22mm diameter where the grips go on. Hope that helps. Have you bought some yet?
How does it pedal uphill? Does the suspension moves a lot?
Hi Kenny, I've never been a fan of riding up hill or bought into the conversation people have around whether a bike is easy or hard to ride up hill. I just head down and grind out the hills without worrying how long it takes. If I'm lucky I'll remember to lock off the rear shock which helps a lot. People tell me the rake at the front end must be hard to ride up hill but I don't know I just ride it. I probably haven't been too helpful. Just lock that shock off and grind man.
The Adventures of Raz Alright. Thanks for the answer! :)
Great Video!! Very natural presentation - you are getting the the knack big time! I really liked the concerned man at the end who was worried about your yoga excercises. Keep it up - Dad
Kerry Ambler Haha thought you'd enjoy. Thanks for those fatherly words of encouragement! 👍🙂
Nice bike bro. Im jealous 😫
Cheers bro. Yeah it's nice to be back on a new bike. Technology is always improving. Looking forward to lockdown being over so we can all go ride again! What are you riding?
The Adventures of Raz i got a trek hardtail. Been wanting to buy either the clash or torque. Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon.
@@tagabukidmedia Yeah man, focus on wellness and it will come. The colourways on the latest CLASH are pretty sick. Saw it at Crankworks Rotorua. My last bike was a TREK and was very happy with that too at the time. My friend recommends bikes for me; he reads all the articles! Haha.
Floor project looks great bro. Shame about the bubble. Loving the Raz humour, always a fun watch. Enjoy your new bubble 👍👍
Someone gave you a thumbs down! Bet it was the carona virus!!!! 😂
Yep. It has now fully morphed into a living breathing full dimensional being with fingers and computer skills! Beware my friend.
Yeah - thumbsdown? Who's that dick?
Trav reckons it was Corona itself. Scary eh 😨
Awesome, you're getting the swing of these vids bro. Editing was cool. Interesting van tweeks with some classic Raz humour 👌
Haha cheers bro. Searching for the right flow and having fun along the way. That was a long one.
Classic raz humour. Hahaha yess.
Sweet ride bro. how tall are you and what size is that beast?
Yeah its' a sweet ride bro. Once the suspension was tweaked to my riding it really took off. Size L. I'm 6ft. The only downside whatsoever is the SRAM brakes are rubbish in my opinion; loud and shudder-like. Would have thought at that price point the brakes would blend in and compliment the rest of the experience. 7.5/10. Marked down due to SRAM brakes (BRAKES SRAM GUIDE T, 200 mm / 200 mm) and rotors (these well may be the issue or adding to it. Commencal use SRAM and Shimano depending on what exact model of CLASH you're considering.
Looking good bro, let’s go riding 👍
You ride in your bubble, I'll ride in mine.
Don't drive while on your phone please!
When did he ??
watched and enjoyed. that’s one long downhill bro
Yeah bro, was all time goodness! Maybe you need to get yourself a MTB bike?!!
Awesome!!!! good flow. really enjoyed it. 8:37 :D
Hahahahaha classic bro...that's been my favourite little super stealth audio only that cracks me up secretly. Mucker can't detect it even as he's trying to find it now at 8:37. Just for us man; our humour! Can't stop laughing man. So happy you like it. Haha.
All about the flow. Totally open to suggestions on how to improve things too. Thinking I'll try a map at the beginning at some point as you previously suggested.
I think it was bang on bro. The intro was really good and the map overview at the end worked well. Everything held together nicely. And great perspective with the GoPro :)
Oh I loved it. watched it repeatedly :D
Thanks bro, I try to keep the pace up there - to keep the viewers viewing! Yeah good angle eh...I've bought a fancy gimbal as well to make that angle super smooth. Will come in later videos.
A super fun ride, with an awesome bunch of friends
Wow - Great stuff!. Obviously a must do for adventure junkies. I thought the video quality was great and I liked the authentic sounding audio - grunt, wow, f-bomb, ufff and similar. Cheers from Big Daddy.
Great comments Dad...yeah bet you felt right in the thick of it. Maybe even looking to purchase a mountain bike and come along!!
