A patient who thinks they might be positive but can’t afford to pay for any treatment will probably just bail out of getting tested. They might even get themselves so worked up worried if they were positive they might attempt to commit suicide. They might actually commit suicide and turn out to be HIV negative. Yep. Asking the patient how they’re going to cope financially is really going to help.

Asking sexual history questions is EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE. I recently went to a male PULMONOLOGIST who had the NERVE to ask me if I was engaging in MSM. I FIRED HIM IMMEDIATELY. I also am escalating his OFFENSIVE and DISCRIMINATORY conduct to the PRESIDENT of this medical facility. And you’re going to ask every FEMALE patient if they have sex for money or drugs. GO TO HELL!
