      Still really liking it a lot! I built this with wet pressure treated wood. So everything has shrunk a little now. It still functions great and moves even easier now. But I dips more when you get it fully pulled out. So drying the wood first would be the main thing I’d change so far

    I do mostly carpentry work, and I've found there's a lot of money in work that most people no longer want to do because they think there's no money in it. I think people undercharged for this type of work for years and now since not many are doing it people are willing to pay well for those that do. I've sort of found a niche in doing whatever jobs most people don't want to do or things people can't find anyone else for. You'd be surprised what some are willing to pay.

    • @Art-df7xs
      @Art-df7xs 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Can you give some examples on some niche jobs no one wants to do that have been good for you?

    • @preston8859
      @preston8859 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Art-df7xs just general handyman and remodeling jobs mostly. Hard to give specific examples. I painted cabinets for a guy because his painter didn’t want to do cabinets, removed old decks because the guy hired a siding company but they would only do siding. Most contractors will only do whatever their specialty is and nothing else. So people like when I do a job and do the entire scope of work and not just 1 thing to leave them looking for someone else to finish it. Another customer had countertops installed, but the company wouldn’t remove the old ones or remove and install the sink and plumbing, and re set the dishwasher and appliances. So I guess instead of specializing I just do everything and charge enough to make it worth it. These specialty companies charge high rates so I figure if I’m doing everything else they don’t want to do I should be able to charge at least what they do or more.

    What's very hard to get through your video? You sounded very scatter brained and absent-minded. I can't imagine what your jobs must be like. But maybe you're just starting out. I've done door hangers before. Return was very small .. I would say 2% for me which was considered good. I get 2000 door hangers, but I. Ended up getting 4 jobs and 2 of them. Were really big jobs.
