    Mine also came with uneven and scratcy, upolished frets, especialy the 14th one was too tall that you can not play at all, even with 2.5mm string height. Many people reported the high 14th fret, ..weird! Maybe this is the reason that all has very high action from the facotry, they know the problem... Their QC is still very bad. I wanted to keep mine, so they refunded me only 25euro. I polished and fixed the 14th fret by myself, now it's OK but still a bit disappointed.... If HB had a good QC this model would be the best Modern Strat in the market, but...👎

  • @gregorwalton
    @gregorwalton 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Sorry you got a bad one. A set up is one thing, but uneven frets means the quality control is not good. Mine was perfect, apart from the frets needed a quick polish and the fretboard needed oiling. Intonation and action were exactly right. I hope you have better luck

    • @manymul
      @manymul 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks sir, I have tools to get the frets levelled but since it has rounded ball edges I don't want to mess with it. It will ruin the fret ends. You got lucky congratulation

  • @mountainman8775
    @mountainman8775 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How much relief have you got in the neck? Hold down the first fret with your left hand, hold down the 22nd fret with your right hand. Any gap between fret and string on the low e around the 7th/8th fret? I bet there’s no relief in your neck at all. Turn the truss wheel 1/4 turn toward you as you’re playing the guitar, then maybe another 1/4 turn. If you get 1-2mm relief i.e. gap between fret and string, I bet your buzz will disappear, provided that the bridge is not set too low below the break angle.

    • @manymul
      @manymul 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I set up all my guitars and sometimes I leveled them myself. I don't want to mess with the frets as they have rounded ball ends. For sure I can get them leveled but the frets ends will be ruined so better to send it back and let them sort out themselves

    • @mountainman8775

      This was my 3rd harley benton, 2 of them were the fusions, came perfect low action straight neck . I just couldnt accept this one with the hassel of travelling 1.5hours to guitar tech and spend probably £100 for fixing a brand new guitar. There are 2 frets at least worst that are pretty high .

    • @bgonza2
      @bgonza2 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@manymul Wow!!!!! My Filipino brother, may I please know what is your earliest memory and history with my country of México, with Mexicans or with Mexican culture as far back as you can possibly remember as a child or teenager in the Philippines? In other words how did you first learn about Mexico's existence? Perhaps your very first knowledge of México occurred in school, or from watching a movie, or a television program, or a sporting event, or accidentally listening to a Mexican song? Or maybe it was your father or mother or another family member or a friend who first introduced you to anything relating to México for the very first time in your life? Or perhaps your very first knowledge of México occurred in some other way? For example I was just 5 years old in 1985 when my father brought me a world Globe and for the first time in my life I saw the map of the Philippines. Before that globe I didn't know about the existence of the Philippines. The reason for asking you all these strange questions is because we as Mexicans are by far the most culturally patriotic people for our country, for our culture and of our ancient history more so than any other nationality on Earth has for their own. Trust me, our love for México is like a religion for us it is that extreme. However... At the same time we recognize and are deeply ashamed and embarrassed of our centuries old corrupt Mexican government which is mostly responsible for all of Mexico's many problems particularly with our vast poverty, organized crime, general crime and lack of good employment opportunities. This is why millions of Mexicans migrate northward to the United States of America seeking a better life for our families and ourselves. Unfortunately the Mexican government is still too powerful to overthrow or change for now. But all the negative things about México are for another time. As a result of our extreme patriotism, we absolutely love whenever we see people from other nationalities that have any personal interest in our country, in our people or in our culture. In your case with our Mexican boxers! Perhaps you also love other Mexican related things! Seeing people from other nationalities that have any personal interest in our country and our culture fills us with much more with patriotism, honor, joy and means more to us than you can possibly imagine. This is why I'm asking you all these strange questions. I would truly love and appreciate your honest responses to all of my questions my Filipino friend. Thank you for your time and God Bless. Respectfully, Benito González García.

    Hello, great video and great guitar! I recently missed an opportunity to buy a Cort G260B Made in Korea, 2002 model. (black body with a mirror pickguard, it was a rare model) It had 3 hot rail duncan pickups with splitting function. Now I have the opportunity to buy a Cort G250, made in Indonesia, model 2009. The same Wilkinson bridge, but Mighty Mite Bluebucker HSS pickups, maple fret. The G260B had a better specs and maybe was better built since it was Korean model, but would you recommend that I buy this G250 model anyway? Thanks in advance.

    Sounds like the guitar you want is an SG maybe. Light and thinner but not overly so and All mahagony. Sgs retain that fatter Gibson sound in a lighter package. SGs can sound huge with the right pickups .

  • @adamwatson6916
    @adamwatson6916 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alot of people use the Jazz neck but very few use the Jazz bridge which a shame because the Jazz bridge is a fantastic pickup especially if you are playing metal but don't want a higher output pickup. It retains clarity under higher gain in a way many other vintage output pickups don't

  • @LookieChannel

    Very nice tone. Sold my G250 years ago and kinda regret it, the MM pickups were great, the guitar has good setup and no major flaws, good playability. Todays in new generation they replaced the pickups with different, dont know if worse or better. I remember that there was something odd in the guitar ergonomics for me, did not feel like a strat in shape, made me sold it. Nice guitar though man.

    • @manymul
      @manymul 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cort really made a very good job on this one, with all quality hardwares and pickups, I also had the Indonesian version and they are less of a guitar in my opinion in terms of feel, wood and ergonomics, the new version is much worse. I would choose this over a squire classic vibe.

      @manymul 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got a reply eventually " Thanks for getting in touch with Blackstar support. Sorry to hear this issue you are experiencing with your ID:Core 150. It sounds like an error has occurred during the firmware update causing the amp to revert to safety mode. Errors can occur due to faulty USB cables, the cable being knocked loose during updating or using a USB hub (always use the main ports on your computer). First thing to try will be forcing an update in God mode, this should restore the amp. To do this, connect the amp up via USB and then hold 'Shift' whilst clicking to launch the INSIDER software. Keep holding shift until the software has launched, it will then prompt a firmware update. If after this it does not prompt an update, I would advise trying a different USB cable and this should resolve the issue. Please try this and let us know how you get on. Kind regards,

      Pull the Magnet off and clean the groove where the coil slides into the magnet. If the foam is gone on the back of the speaker then it probably fell into the coil groove.Which will make a rattle sound.
