As an automotive locksmith, you should always have a back up tool to use. Simple one that can be a very good backup. Will be the auto propad basic core version by xtool this will be the cheaper and the fastes. There is many other options and they are all good.

I just programmed a W211 EIS from a junkyard. It successfully generated a password. I finished the procedure. The red light went on then off but the key doesn't turn. Hmm, I wonder if this key is compatible with this EIS.

Yes. Only one kind of key. Maybe something else is wrong. Like the esl. For example, when the ESL is malfunctioning, the cluster will stay dark when you put the key in.

So hopefully to explain that better, after 2018 the dealer have put a system in those vehicles called “security getaway module” in order to communicate with the car with any tool you must use the bypass failing to do so you will not be able to program or to clear DTC or do anything Related to the computer

@Rocke03 on this one’s I will normally use the BMW AUTEL universal key. Works perfect and you can always reuse.

If AKL you just close and open the door and it will do the job

Yes. I used Autel but with the code. I show the frequency so you know what to adjust to make it work perfectly. I’m not sure what was before I adjusted. I was playing with it to make it work perfect.

I have the cable. But in this case I have used the code. No bypass. Even though it’s very easy access to the 30 pin cable.

In the US, our Corolla does not have a transponder on this year’s Even on the Camry, it’s usually on the V6 Models

Interesting, in most countries it’s like that only the US does not require that by law it’s optional. We have 2020 year models that does not have any transponders.
