great video, very helpful. I'm pretty new to lighting (of this type. I have some nightclub background), and I happen to be learning on Grand MA 3. Doing pretty well, but this was helpful, as well as your video on adding truss (I was looking for a way to add a stage platform, and the truss video got me going down the right path). Just so I undestand, you still have to add the fixtures to your 3D layout individually, but the marker just helps you control them as a group, right?

Is there a faster way to add lines? Like, what if you have 100 references to input :/ - there’s a feature request and a half. Add ref = popup (how many) ect

how do you make the truss longer in length or do you just need to keep adding different parts ie 500 , 501 , 502 ect ect till I have like 5 pieces of truss in a line

GMA3 Newbie here. I noticed when I went to make a new fixture and was in the fixture edit screen I did not see an attributes tab until I hit the down arrow on the dmx channel and saw a logical channel. I did not see that on your video. Is it something in settings that im missing? Different version of MA3 on PC maybe? Thank you. Keep up the great videos

Great Tutorial! Could you make a video creating a pixel fixture from GDTF builder and importing/modifying it? I tried to create a LED par light with 4 rings of control (in GDTF-share) and hitting some roadblocks while using it in MA 3D -- Love your content and learning a lot from your tutorials

Every single step you showed took me multiple tries because you were either too quick flipping through settings, or the settings I put in somehow turned out differently than when you did it. Maybe a quick pause and explanation of what parameters I'm actually applying as I apply them, and give me a second to actually do it. I've had to hit pause on this video like 100 times already.... gahhh

quick question, how do you memorise the command lines when building the macros? do you have the terminal running in another window or do you just sort of know the lines after practising?

Hi have a real problem and can not find a solution. for example, as soon as I open the demo show in GrandMa3, beams, gobo and spot are displayed correctly. As soon as I click once again on the 3d window, all beams and spots disappear and the lamp only lights up (like a LED fixture) without producing any beams. I can't undo this either. In the render option all beams etc. are activated with over 100%. Can someone possibly help me? Thanks and greetings

hello, why in dark mode the scenic structures are with a brick appearance? is it possible to have the bridges as in wired mode. THANKS. Vectorworks 2023

A great use for this is to limit a fixture as well. So say you have some house lights that never need to go out fully. You can set this here. I have done this for aisle lights and exit lights. You can also do this in the reverse way, say you have lobby lights that never need to go past a certain level.
