DJI Mavic2 Pro aerial footage of an offshore supply ship passing by. More satisfied with this one, lovely colours and ship, transporting a wind turbine to one of the Dutch turbine parks at the North Sea. Fantastic to see you back in action man!, my Wife and I watched your latest video on the smart tv last night and we loved it. Classic Bee in top form - perfect filming, smooth as silk, fantastic edit, dreamy soundtrack, capturing the mystery and passion of ocean vessels with such style. Great to see the lighting operation with the floating crane, interesting the tug is there too even though the ship is at anchor, I've never seen that before with similar operations here. Is that the Mavic 2 Pro? Thanks for the upload and we look forward to your next video.
Great to see you Martin, and thanks a lot for your review. It means a lot to me. There where two tugs at some point, I assume they kept the ship in position due to the changing tide! The small boat is a passenger ship. There's a change of the day and night crew for the crane. At that point the crane also stopped operating for a while. The first part of the vid shows the crane in action and then when the boat comes, I focus on the crane itself. I had 45 minutes of footage, had a hard time editing down to a decent length. I still fly the Mavic 2 yes, wasn't that active so didn't look at a new one.
@@THERADRONECOM Thanks for the explanation behind the scene, very fascinating operation and cool you also got the boat arriving to change the crew, and you got that huge crane in operation, a brilliant scene. Perhaps the owners of the crane or the bulk carrier might be interested in the footage. The Mavic 2 Pro really is a superb drone. Thanks again for sharing your always thrilling and unique still of footage, and hopefully we will see more in the future, Happy flying.

I zoomed in a little in the edit which also makes the steering more visible. I did not want the ship to come in between me and the mavic so I had to be quick to film the front view, then ascended so the transmission would stay clear, for safety i had the RTH set to max altitude (120m) just in case, but it all went without any problems. Mavics don't have a problem when there is a ship between the controller and the drone. The control signal is strong enough to be safe. Thanks for watching!

What a strange ship. The towers aren't Flettner rotors like I first thought but but are actually "legs" that enable the Aeolus to "stand" on the sea floor whilst erecting offshore wind turbines. Good catch, Bee!

@@THERADRONECOM The Mavic Pro is better than the Phantom... yes the Phantom have a mechanical shooter but the Mavic is easy to carry around than the Phantom.
