Scalvini/Vortex Custom Tune KTM EXC / Husqvarna FE 350 MY 17
We install a full Scalvini system and a Vortex ignition to a '17 model KTM EXC 350 and complete a full custom dyno tune.
We get some solid gains out of this set up, but more importantly, correct the very lean Air Fuel Ratio (AFR).
If you are considering a slip on or full system for a EXC 350 (or a 450 or 500) you should do some investigation as they will run dangerously lean when you alter the standard exhaust system. We took the bikeshop.com.au Ducati 1198s Corse Edition to Dyno Dom so he could do his business on it. And business he did! What the dyno results don't show is how smooth and linear the power is, I thought it was good before - now its incredible!

    Was there a o-ring used because I installed the same new slave cylinder and it’s leaking

      Same did you figure it out Also with the new cover, there will be a gap (about 4-5 mm) that was originally covered by the plastic part from the OEM cover. This is NOT installed/required when using the Ducabike cover. Now worried that the gap might promote dirt/debris to sit on the push rod damaging over time.

      @@HowethTravels I had to replace it because I had 1 to many ball bearings inside so when I was tightening the cylinder down it cracked inside. Best bet with a supersport is to try without it first

      @@WittyBoiBeatz ok, it’s a process trying to narrow it down. I’m installing on a 821 monster and the ball bearing wasn’t enough to make up the distance actually has to use 2. I’m thinking maybe the actual o rings on the rod it’s self are not good. Did you have the gap i mentioned too? Thanks for the help

      @@HowethTravels there is also a longer rod I believe that you need me as for the gap I had no issue. Also if you have air in your lines you bike will kill going into gear. Also had to find this out the hard way.

      10NM - Always tighten in succession so it pulls in evenly.
