Neil does NOT understand original sin and disobedience that brought judgement, disease, suffering and death upon the whole human race. Adam and Eve sinned by their wrongful choice to not follow what the Lord had told them both. Just like all of us now, you real what you sow. I just finished Lee Strobel’s book ‘The Case For Christ’. For anyone who is on the fence about Jesus, I would highly recommend reading it.

God created the perfect surface world for us and to be with us. Man rebelled and was cast out to its backrooms, where things still functioned, but imperfectly, naturally sinful, the way sinful man wanted. Some made the best of this new world for God, whom He found favor in; others spited God with the least of their reverence and killed their blessed brothers out of jealousy, which the chaotic rules of this sinful reality dictate, just as man wanted. God demonstrates to man countless times that this is the way this sinful world works: chaotic, random, loveless, merciless. a wild, unforgiving world filled with the unpredictable guesstimations of quantum mechanics, relativity, thermodynamics, laissez-faire, might-makes-right, nihilism, & Murphy's Law. Even if we are His favored to fulfill his earthly covenant (Mosaic Law), either our sinful, free brothers will spite us to exert their delusional godhood in sin against us or the natural evil of this cold, swift, harsh world will exert its chaotic entropy and random chance on our frail mortality. That is why the Father has given us the Son and enlightens our path with the Holy Spirit through His New Covenant and endless blessings and miracles to further demonstrate the brutality of sin we chose against Him and the cost of true His Love for us in His hopes that the sinful man end this senseless escapade so they can live through the Way, the Truth, and the Life forever or give the rebels their perfectly sinful, totally Godless world taken to its most logical conclusion of complete and total entropy, madness, and existential death forever.
