Ive got the 5 stage on my l5p. Usually run it on tune 2 which is supposed to be 75hp. My truck smokes way more than yours. Starting about half throttle maybe a little over it rolls coll alll the way up. Any thoughts?

Does EGR delete make a sound difference then just straight pipe?

Is this your stock dp exaust ? I mean straight pipe Doc (stock Dp) stock exaust I’m thinking either do a 5 inch exaust or just keep the stock one !!! Let me know if this is a stock cause it sounds good!

Is this with 3” down pipe bc i have the same setup on my 19 chevy l5p just with stock exhaust just wondering bc im about to run 5” exhaust next then downpipe

Hello got the same truck but stock. What’s everything you did to make it sound like this?

So we tried using the clips to edit for the in game truck (not sure you remember) but unfortunately the holds aren’t long enough to be smooth and they sound extremely repeatable. Modern phones can be perfectly fine as long as you arent too close to the exhaust. Literally, just have to set the phone on the ground about 10 feet away from the truck, start the video, start up the truck, let it idle for 2 seconds, rev to 1000 rpms or so, hold it for a second or two, rev up to about 2500, hold it for a second or two, let it drop to idle for a second, then shut it down. Holding the revs at mid and high for at least 2 full seconds is very important, the driving clips of high rpm sound great but unfortunately doesn’t stay consistent enough to sound good in game. In game it sounds like it’s repeat building rpms instead of building and holding. Sorry this is repetitive i wish we could meet up or something and use words to better explain it but i will definitely be very thankful if it works out and in the end the internet gets blessed with that duramax.

Oh man sounds nasty.. i have a request, I’m trying to re use sounds to use on a truck in a game.. I’m looking for something specific and what I need is Start up and Idle Then rev up to about 1K RPM for at least 30 seconds Then I need a rev up to about 2K RPM ish Not sure where those exactly sit on the dash or how much rev it is, but basically need slight acceleration sound and higher acceleration sound. I feel like this clip would work but unfortunately just as it reaches a RPM hold the wind picks up. Which is what’s really tricky about getting sound clips for the game. It needs to be as clear as possible with no other sounds otherwise it sounds bad in game. A little more information about what’s being made is this game SnowRunner is an offroading game that summed up is you haul and deliver cargo and rescue stuck or broken trucks. Players and are able to make ‘mods’ for the game this case a pick up truck to add to the game. The truck that’s being made is basically this exact truck except it’s a Chevrolet with new interior. The Modder who is doing the project is GlitchWorks, and we already have the truck in game for over a year, but the sounds it has is only a start up, idle and high idle with way too much turbo whistle it gets ear piercing after driving a bit. So thats why im really looking for that raw engine scream at higher rpms to make the truck better for everyone.

What tune and tuner are you running, im planning on deleting my 2018 in the future

Got a question. Did you leave the cat behind the turbo? Doesn't sound as loud as the straight pipe ones i have heard. I plan on doing my 2020 one day and was wanting to save on the work of removing the turbo. I think only thing i would be sacrificing would be extremely loud sound.

Jake, my low mileage '94 runs great when I start it until it warms up. Mine will hiccup but continue to run. I replaced my crankshaft sensor because I diagnosed it was bad. Truck runs better but still getting hiccups when it warms up. any thoughts?

I had an engine crank no start, replaced crank position sensor and started right away Checked pmd, lift pump, fuel filter, glow plugs and everything I could think of. I barowd a friends snap on scanner and found it to be the crank position sensor

how easy was it to put on

i am having an intermittent hiccup, and then after about 5-10 minutes idleing, the truck just cuts off? i thought it was the pmd, i have used 3 different pmds, did the oil pressure sensor and lift pump new and it is still having the hiccup occassionally and cuts off after about 5-10 minutes. but will start right back up. do you think the crankshaft position sensor will get rid of that hiccup?? best way i can describe the hiccup is: if this was a gas motor, it would be as if the spark plug was fouled and it was missing, run good for about 4 minutes and then the motor would hesitate, shake and "hiccup" and eventually cut off. what was your truck doing that you wanted/made you change the crankshaft sensor? thanks for any reply/help!!!
