A terrible voice over of a British actresses chewing an american accent, add to that the constant reflection on how she feels about the masculinity around her, is grating - you have 2 outsiders, her and the photojournalist- you didn't need both- would have loved to have a third arch of the Charles Bronson looking kid and spend more time with him and see his journey and you would have had a classic. if they needed more Jodie whats her face to fill a quota than extend the movie - you gave a glimpse of the kids life but needed more ...left at the end with no idea what the point was

I'm watching it now. Thought I'd hit the YouToobs to see what others were saying. Talking 'woke,' I thought it was headed downhill when Verona entered, all angry and quick to accuse the 'white guy with the knife'… but it's fun. Hey, any revenge story where scammers get destroyed is gonna be a fun flick. Now I *did* have an issue with the call center seeming like it was just 'in town'… but details that can be easily forgiven given the whole premise here. I'll finish it out now… Thanks @OffTheCover for giving a rundown. I didn't even know the media had a hard time with it (had never heard of the film til yesterday) but that doesn't surprise me.

Facts. Phenomenal movie! I actually bought it on iTunes because I wasn’t able to watch it at the theater. We definitely need more movies like this! They presented the bike culture, not just the MC culture. At the same time, they portrayed the ugliness of America transitioning from the Vietnam war that brought about a significant weakness to our country.

4:36 the whole point of the stark difference between the very bright and colorful to a very dull and boring lighting is to show how when the main character can’t live as there true self as Isabel in the real world they are depressed and feel like their suffocating. While when they watch the pink opaque or get reminded of it they feel free and happy they can express their true self,Or at least that what I thought lol could be wrong though.

Don’t understand why review channels only watch terrible things…for views I’d imagine but still they all lack in substance.

Whatever we get it is going to be sloppy. I mean, come on, what hasn’t been. But you can’t have a cliffhanger if you don’t care. And I don’t know anybody who cares.

Dude they show the trans flag and use that color scheme repeatedly, they show him putting on a dress, they cut between him and Isabell to make a clear parrell, he literally talks about how he might be a girl but will never know, and like 100 more things. You say you don’t need to be spoon fed but you were and you still don’t get it, it’s ok to not understand a movie especially when you arnt the target audience, but to claim that this movie doesn’t represent the trans experience just because you as a cis man didn’t get it is crazy. Not hating just trying to clear things up

I believe you are entitled to your opinion. And other people are entitled to disagree. if you hate it, you hate it. I love the movie and that’s it. We are entitled to our personal opinions. Likes or dislikes are not an objective opinions, it’s just a point of view created by our our character and way of seeing life. The movie could be good in my mind but its okay if it was bad for you. And I believe we should accept that people can have a different opinion while we share ours.

I just watched this and even though I didn't personally connect to it that much, I can tell everything in the movie was incredibly intentional and thought out. This movie does a perfect job at what it sets out to do and it seems like you can't separate your political opinions from well made art.
