Hello! Apologies for the late reaction. The bike is now with me anymore. I sold it and use the money to purchase a Canyon Endurace. Couple of issues I had encounter; 1.The Cassette is too soft at the largest cog, meaning you can feel it is bending. 2.The shifting developed a delay that even though I replaced the cable, it did not disappear. 3.The Rubber cover of the levers expanded and got loose in the end. 4. The bar tape is garbage. Overall, "You get what you pay for!" is the feeling I had. I am now in the process of getting a Canyon Grizl and stick with Shimano GRX or Sram, whatever the bike comes with.

By the way, the TREK geometry fits me well compared to Canyon.

Just a cheap one from Aliexpress. You get what you pay for! It is slippery and do not have enough cushion.

yow, this is Schwalbe G-One All Around 40-622. I still have 8mm-10mm clearance from the Fork and Rear part of the Frame and I used SKS Speedrocker Mud Guards.

The Body is great and even better if paired with better lens. All shots here is with the stock lens 14-140 and I edited by exposing the shadows and highlights, no sharpening. The build quality is mostly plastic like entry level to mid level dslr during its era. It has this weird film like Jpeg comparable to my X-T1. Just be careful on how much you are paying for it, camera came out in 2010.

10 kg with this set-up! The Wheelset helps a lot reducing the weight!

It is comparable to my Tiagra on road. I only miss the clutch on RD when offroad or light gravel route, you can feel the chain when hitting bumps. Overall, it is a good value for money.

I never tried it but I am now using a Shimano 10 Speed Chain. It works just fine!

Yep, I had removed it. Found out only after the assembly and picture. Already did 1000km + with no issue on the groupset. The only thing missing is clutch.

Bike (€849) + New Wheelset/Tyres/Drivetrain (€620) = €1469 - €300 (sold parts) = €1169 Final Bike Price. The Canyon Grizl 6 AL is a better option for €1499 but the problem is availability.

@@brompterdam I’ll look into that! There’s a trek store in my area and have become somewhat friends with them, but the price of the checkpoint is still very steep. So the canyon might be the better choice for my pockets

Hi! Unfortunately, there is no clutch switch. I am now at about 800km with the set-up including light gravel and so far no issues. I will make a detail review once I hit 1000 km.

Thanks for the comment! That’s what also others think but The total price is still cheaper than the next model Domane AL3 with Shimano Sora. I am currently doing long distance test ride. I will make a follow up and better video soon!

Thanks! I fitted it with 40mm Schwalbe G-One. Ended up 38mm on a 19mm internal width rim. Still have 8-10mm clearances.

Hi! Sorry for the late response! The rear axle is a hassle to removed without the tools. I ended up buying the specific tools in an online shop from Belgium called Vlerick Fietsen. The Rear Rack is cleaned by paint remover and sandpaper and I painted it up because the color already faded. Light Glass Bead Blasting would help I think instead of stripping it yourself.

@@brompterdam Thanks! I completed my full rebuild :) I ended up removing the rear axle, damaging the thread in the process and then replaced it. I used sand paper and a metal file to clean the rear rack and then used a silver spray paint that's suitable for bare aluminium (a paint suitable for galvanised metals).

Hi! Yes, I kept the Old Calipers. I renewed the cabling using standard ones and cut it my self according to required lengths.

Depends on the Paint Stripper used. I tried a liquid ones but did not work well then I ended up with Glass Bead Blasting which if not handle well, will also strip parts of brazing.

Yes, but there is a downside on the plated ones, vinegar also removed the plating and turned the bolts into matte gray finish almost look like titanium. These are the bolts on the wheels.
