Here is how to test a Throttle Body Sensor on a 7th gen Civic. Pretty simple job; you will have to remove the air box (see related video for Cleaning Throttle body for instructions to do that here th-cam.com/video/_jNqw9HEuOM/w-d-xo.html) You will need a simple multimeter with ohm's capability. if this helps anyone pls let me know! cheers.

broken patio table to a new table top
มุมมอง 44K12 ปีที่แล้ว
In August of 2011 I was smart enough to leave the umbrella in the glass table during a wind storm. Sure enough the table shattered. Instead of buying a new set we spent some money and made a new table top from cedar. The video was getting long so I skipped the step of staining it etc.

Recently bought an 05 Civic with neglect issues. Removing the throttle body is too much work for the moment. I sprayed down the body throat & plate while changing the air filter. Looks like new down the throat & runs even smoother now.

For this car the normal idle speed is at at 750t50 rpm. If the idle speed is below 700 or above 800, at normal operating temperature, cleaning TB & IAC valve could solve the issue.

"Can't change the TPS sensor you have to change the whole throttle body" great video but sort of some false info. Snip the bolts off it and a new one comes with new bolts to put in. Crucial for someone that doesn't have the money to buy a whole new throttle body. Also not necessary to take the throttle body off to clean it really.

TPS sensor is removable, you just have to make slots in the bolt /screw heads (i used a dremel) and use a screwdriver to unscrew them. Once it is loose, it is adjustable so you can set/adjust it to its proper spot (.5 closed, 4.5 open)...or you can just replace it. Also, dont use "Carb cleaner"...use throttle body cleaner.

Ones a throttle cable. And ones a transmission cable (kick down cable) im pretty sure. I start my car it idles up and pukes down , the udles up again. Its an 04. 1.7. Engine light is on. Im pretty sure its either the mass air flow sensor or just a shitty gunked up throttle body. Replaced the plugs and ignition coils (in the middle of winter) and i think this is what it needs. Its also the reason why i only run 91 octane in it because of this reason. But at 150k i guess the damage is already done.
